I'm gonna go rogue with expansion...or druid.
this would be playable at 4 mana.
considering that Play Dead is 1 mana and hunter has good deathrattles to trigger, this looks really bad at 5
Using this and Carnivorous Cube could cause some problems for your opponent.
That is card game logic.
Imagine a 3 mana Deal 9 damage with Overload 3. That is 3 Lightning Bolts. Does that sound fair?
3 things you need to learn:
1: Not all cards must be equally good.
2: Some cards get more expensive/cheap when you upscale them/downscale them.
3: People who disagree with you are not smokers.
Reminds me of Red Mana Wyrm. Double the stats, double the effect, 5 times the cost.
Good luck with that ;)
this will never work because Mecha'thun also needs the battlefield to be empty so triggering it's deathrattle without it dying will do nothing
Just imagine that this card cost 3
Then Leeroy Jenkins + Carnivorous Cube + Preparation + this card
Probably for a couple of reasons. First, deathrattle is a more significant theme in Hunter, so it makes sense that they'd get more powerful deathrattle effects and synergies. (In general, Rogue deathrattles have been ways to synergize with or work toward combos - examples of this include Cursed Castaway, Kobold Illusionist, and Tomb Pillager.)
Second, Rogue has access to Preparation, making the high cost more reasonable. It's super easy to OTK with this - on turn 10, play Kobold Illusionist with Malygos in hand, prep out this spell for 2, and then play 2x Eviscerate for 28 damage. Making it cheaper would make the OTK potential much higher and more frustrating to play against.
Except that Mecha'thun would still be on the table so that wouldn't workI mean there are still plenty of requirements to fulfill in order to make it work. Keep in mind that you got to destroy C'thun, get rid of your hand and have an empty deck. Just by activating his deathrattle ability nothing can happen because this deathratlle simply won't work out
And if you have Necrium blade from the last turn, this 38 damage
Rogue had a deatrattle theme way before hunter and even priest back at whispers of the old gods....so first reason is dumb.
Second reason I belive you but god do they love to f.. rogue beacuse of prep when druid kepps getting ramp and draw not to mention billion ways for a mage to burn you or clear boards at also discounts.

The first reason is dumb? Having a deathrattle theme isn't just about having some minions with deathrattle - hunter has cards like Feign Death, Forlorn Stalker, and Corpse Widow - cards that synergize with other deathrattle effects. (Note that Feign Death and Webspinner both entered HS before Whispers of the Old Gods, so your timing is off.)
The hunter deathrattle effects are also generally much stronger than rogue effects, which is why today we see lots of hunters using deathrattles while rogues (despite the recent addition of Lesser Onyx Spellstone) hasn't done much with it at all. Blizzard has obviously made real efforts to make the deathrattle theme more powerful/interesting in rogue, but to date it hasn't seen a ton of play.
Regarding your second point, while I generally agree that this set seems to be giving Druid a lot of powerful stuff at a time when they're crazy strong, I don't think it's fair to equate ramp cards with Preparation. At some point in the game, having more ramp isn't useful - you can't have more than 10 mana crystals, after all. But getting to reduce the cost of a card by 3 at any point in the game, and given the synergy it has with Gadgetzan Autioneer, it's hard to imagine that prep isn't a much more challenging effect to balance.
Epic means that card is complicated and potentially hard to understand or use, not necessarily very good.
Kinda interesting. People may even play this in non-Malygos Rogue decks with cards like Myra Rotspring and Blightnozzle Crawler. Still waiting for Tess Rogue to be viable though.
Broken
Wait... why? wha- how?
In a different way, yes.
A lot of cards leveraging deathrattles for Rogue in this expansion, the only thing missing to make use of them is Rogue deathrattle cards that don't suck.
