decent for token shaman. Although it hasn't been a thing in a while.
Powerful with Knife Juggler
Instead of giving overload it should have actually cleared all your overload.
everyone talking about this card won't be used I strongly disagree this card can be used to craft other cards
Weak card, overload absolutely breaks it.
Two 1/1 with rush on turn 10 against a control warlock or taunt druid won't be very good.
I don't think it was a dumbass reply!
To be honest this card kind of reminds me of Patches the Pirate.
The overload , and the fact that you don't thin your deck seems to make it more fair though , so im not so sure it will be that good.
Nope, while buffs that works specifically on elementals work, other elemental-combos doesn't, simply because you need to play an elemental from your hand, not summon them.
If you need an hex and get this card instead from witch's cauldron… it is bad. Not sure why so many downvotes.
Not much a shaman player, but seems good, compared to Lost in the Jungle or Living Roots , because of rush and Flametongue Totem mostly. This is basicly 3 mana - deal 6 to a minion. Trades well with lets say Saronite Chain Gang . Only problem is positioning, because it might be problematic to use voltaic burst with already existing totem ( burst will summon sparks on MOST right positions on the board), so totem must be most right minion before you do it (and i doubt you will place it like that on previous turn willingly). But played same turn with flametongue - decent.
You don't even need to worry about playing the Flametongue Totem 2nd, since the elementals get rush, just play the Flametongue Totem then Voltaic Burst, which you're going to suicide into your opponents board. then the 2nd one gets the attack bonus and attacks as a 3/1 as well. I've used this tactic with the Primalfin Totem before to attack with the 3/1 Primalfin, then attack face for 2 or trade with the totem itself if it's safe.
Totally fair new card that's also kinda interesting, unlike the b***s*** new druid spell which is neither interesting nor fair. 1 damage less than Lightning Bolt, but with the flexibility splitting it up, or of keeping minions around.
its comparable to Lost in the Jungle but with an immediate effect and the elemental tag. I think it will see more play than this community speculates!
I think this card is just... NOT BAD. It's good if you got this from Hagatha, but it will not see any play imo.
Yes, Why on earth would the faction with Flame tongue totem play some stupid card that summons 1/1's with rush?
it is so sad to see this right below Juicy Psychmelon
Voltaic Burst seems really good. On it's face, it compares somewhat poorly to Zap! - pay one extra mana for a minor amount of flexibility and a chance at a minor tempo play. However, thanks to cards like Flametongue Totem these little elementals can trade up nicely.
also Cultmaster and bloodlust sinergies if anyone want them
Decent enough card but hard to see a home for it in any viable Shaman archetype right now. I doubt it will see play.
As these are elementals this will lead to some surprise elementals from Hagatha generating this + Earthen Might
