Going to be interesting.
*groan* there's a lot of cool things you could do with this but we all know hunters are just gonna use it to smorc.
Cards like this were needed for Mech Hunter to work. Not only this, but Hunter is in a rough spot right now, with how little attention the team has given the Aggro/Midrange Hunter, which was a longtime staple of Hearthstone.
Also, I have to cite Metaltooth Leaper into this equation, as he was the only Mech Hunter had before this expansion was announced. Remember how unplayable he was when he was revealed? Well, he's now going to be essential in Wild with Mech Hunter decks popping up.
I'd argue that cards like Fireworks Tech are the kind of cards this game should regularly produce - a card that helps out another that was considered obscure and shitty by the community long ago and makes it better. Hell, this card makes me want to play Wild now because all of the essential linchpins of Mech Decks in Wild are cheap to craft (Clockwork Gnomes, Tinkertown Technician, Mechwarper, Piloted Shredder, Gorillabot A-3). Speaking of which, cards like this and (and expansions like this) I'd argue are absolutely NECESSARY because the game need to let Wild players know they are not left out in the cold and they are not overlooked. In addition, this is the shakeup the game needed - I am sick and tired of 5 minute Shudderwock turns, annoying Druid combo decks that hide behind Armor and Taunts, and fucking Kingsbane Rogue decks.
The only thing that would make this expansion sweeter is if a card is introduced that Silences weapons.
I! AM! READY!
This card is so GOD OP
Wild Mech Hunter is now a thing. God help us all. You know this is going to be used extensively to copy the Deathrattles of Clockwork Gnome and Piloted Shredder.
Hell, this even makes Target Dummy threatening, since you can drop a Target Dummy and this as early as turn ONE.
This in a deathrattle Hunter with prince and meatwagon gives you a 3 attack meatwagon that can pull mechanical welps out of your deck, after that you cube the welp and get a 4/6 and a 7/7 for 5 mana.
Even if you dont draw prince, play meatwagon + magnet spiderbomb + this get a welp, kill a guy
This Is a 2 drop so it‘s gonna be pretty hard to get Keleseth going..
True. Just play it without prince then. A spider bomb on meatweagon is enough to do it.
Wow this card seems pretty insane. Looks like deathrattle/mech Hunter is gonna rise in ladder!
Rise up, fellow Huntards, its time to beat up some combo decks!
IMO, this is one of the best cards revealed thus far
In Wild, this can hit Piloted Shredder or possibly a Boombot in Hunter.
Otherwise, Mechs you can try this out with in are Harvest Golem, Piloted Sky Golem, Clockwork Gnome, the upcoming Spider Bomb and Goblin Bomb, Mechanical Yeti, Meat Wagon, Explosive Sheep, Corrupted Healbot (why though?) and Sneed's Old Shredder.
Still more Mechs to come! We'll see.
What about Spider Bomb?
I mean, that's definitely value, but there's no way there will be enough good cheap Hunter deathrattle mechs to make this playable.
Anyone else have a feeling the Legendary spell will be something like "Trigger all friendly Deathrattles. Summon a random mech for each activated." ??
I sincerely hope that this is not the legendary spell: it's not only a win-more card, but it would also have the potential for crazy high and low-rolls. I'm not really sure what the flavor would be, either.
That said, I do like the combined Deathrattle/mech archetype, and I agree that I'd like to see some more support.
Deathrattle hunter continues to be strong. Since this is for mechs only hopefully it'll have some more support, but I can see it working.
This is cute. Clearly, it's a "if there are enough good mechs with Deathrattle" card, but the design is cool, and it's a neat pack filler at worst. That said, Fallen Sun Cleric doesn't see too much play. This is *really* going to need deathrattles to be good.
Presumably, if you put Spider Bomb on (e.g.) a mechanical whelp, then this card would trigger both deathrattles - that seems pretty broken actually
