The Boomsday Project - Complete Card Reveal Schedule
The card reveal schedule returns again, this time for The Boomsday Project! We'll be here as usual to cover all the reveals right here on HearthPwn, so make sure you tune in over the next couple of weeks to make sure you don't miss anything! Countdowns for each day will be made available closer to the start of next week. You can also bookmark our Boomsday Project expansion guide which will have all the new cards in a nice visual layout.
There are 49 cards on the reveal schedule and we've already seen 11. This means there are currently 75 cards unaccounted for (135 in the set total!) which we'll end up seeing through Blizzard reveals on blogs and videos, an initial reveal stream on the 23rd, and a final card dump at the end.
We do not have names of cards this time around, they didn't leak them in their own blog =(
Blog Post
Quote from BlizzardThe brilliant scientists at Boom Labs have been hard at work devising nefarious new technologies for The Boomsday Project. We’ve enlisted the aid of your esteemed community colleagues to publish the results—in the form of new The Boomsday Project cards!—for your perusal via Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, and more. 7/19 is a robotic hippopotamus. We saw the full art in the blog post that revealed the 2 mana Shaman Elemental. Probably a druid minion since it ties into the whole biology project theme.12 pm 7/27 is Myra from the most recent animation and will most likely be the other Rogue legendary. It seems like every class is going to have a theme specific to a certain scientific field. From what we know already here are my guesses:
Druid- Biology (with an emphasis on the botanical)
Paladin- Optics and Crystallography
Mage- Astronomy
Shaman- Electrodynamics
Rogue- General Chemistry with an emphasis on chemical synthesis
We haven't really seen enough (or anything in for some classes) for Hunter, Priest, Warlock or Warrior but if I were to make a guess on any of these classes I would predict Warrior be focused on thermodynamics, for one because glowing red things and hot metal would fit in pretty well with Warrior's visual class aesthetic and color palette. Expect a lot of cards with arts or pallets similar to Alley Armorsmith. We already see a lot of red in Beryllium Nullifier. And fun fact, Beryllium is a very good thermal conductor meaning its very good at transferring heat, lending more weight to the thermodynamic hypothesis.
No, the Hippo will most-likely be a Hunter card. Per teaser video from before, the 3 classes that will focus on mechs are Paladin, Warrior, and Hunter. Druid isn't one of them.
very nice theory and i hope you are true.
That might make sense but it still could be a mech that's not magnetic or synergy based. I was thinking of the card within the expansion lore and thought it would be some kind of composter or tractor-bot since its eating grass in the full art.
That said, you're probably right. It probably is a hunter card.
Mulchmuncher confirmed a Druid card. Funnily enough, I was even right in predicting that its a composter, lol.
But Hagatha was revealed at the start of the main block of reveals (https://www.hearthpwn.com/news/5270-witchwood-reveal-season-kicks-off-newly-revealed) so we might not be waiting long at all
I'm excited for Mech'thun
Thank you!
Looks like another abortion.
Oooh edgy
how is it possible that youtube channels with 3000 subscribers get a reveal, but not hearthpwn, the largest hearthstone website??!
That's the point lol
(I will let you figure that out yourself)
aaaand....probably he didn't get the idea xD
still dont get it
C'thun mech, OMG.
Hype train bound for Smorcsville.
Hoping the C'Thun mech is called C'Boom. Or K'Boom.
I like Mech'thun
The art of this set looks so cool!
No names this time?
Also, this site deserves a reveal too! Your work is extraordinary!
If there was a new dr. boom they should've announced on 7/27 7 pm LUL
