I think this is the Tournament Mode. This picture does not say much, so this is the only logical thing I can come with.
Or maybe it's Tournament Mode + expansion, but I doubt they will give us so much in a short time. Anyway, worse case scenario, it's just a new expansion :(
Americans the nation where they cry freedom and democracy everywhere you look and yet they still go by the ancient and aarbitrary out of order IMPERIAL system. you do know its called imperial? As in British Empire? ... one would think being a free nation could make them actually think outside of something as outdated as the Imperial system.
Um, metric should be used because empires are bad? This argument has reached a new low, which is impressive since it started pretty dang low. Maybe stick to the "it's more intuitive" thing, next time.
I didn't stick with the intuitive thing cause Americans are like kids- stubborn af so i had to drop that argument cause they didn't see it as intuitive or logical. What a surprise ahahah a whole country acting like kids when their nations age is pretty much equivalent to a kids age in human terms.
12 is divisible into whole numbers by 2, 3, and 4. That’s pretty useful when building most things. Otherwise you have to use decimals which gets confusing when you are say, splitting a room into thirds one way and quarters another way. The world isn’t black and white.
Considering that the previous hint towards the next expansion's theme was an Ethereal gate, I'm going to guess that that the hand is supposed to belong to Cro Threadstrong, a letherworking supplies vendor in Shattrath, who would spend his days yelling at an elderly fruit vendor Granny Smith (hence the apple), threatening "him" and "his" (nonexistant) Ogre army. The only thing against my theory is that Cro is brown Mag'har orc, not green.
My guess is that the expansion is going to be about Shattrath or Outland. It's about time to bring the Naaru into the row of usable cards.
I'm not sure about this one... I feel like because of the fruit thing it will maybe be a summer festival?? It just doesn't seem to fit with what we've seen so far for the next expansion (the ethereal thing) so I don't know if it will be the reveal...
That's a very interesting thought, and I hope you're right! I would love another event with extra gold/dust to pile up before the next expansion release! I highly doubt it though since we just had the Taverns of Time stuff.
I think it would be funny if the poster image actually has to do with the third expansion and it comes out on Dec 7, 2018. Then they make some joke about the timeline still being a little out of sync thanks to Toki and her event. But again, not likely since they probably don't want to tell us a release date that far in advance for the third exp of the year.
Someone else had a theory that in the original image they must have purposely put the second and third expansion teaser images in the wrong order to then say Toki messed up the timeline and that purple, ethereal looking image is actually the third exp now.
Or this save the date image could mean nothing! lol
The hand is an Orc, and something about it evokes thoughts of Warcraft, as in the old Warcraft - a war between humans and orcs, played out as an RTS.
You can clearly see fingernails on three of the fingers and the thumb, but the first finger isn't showing a nail. Almost like it is pointing, or perhaps indicating the number one. This could mean it references the First war between Humans and Orcs, the very first Warcraft game that started it all. Why would we be seeing a character from the first Warcraft?
The answer is so simple a child could see it! Time Travel! This set will be something like "Time Crisis" and this teaser for the announcement of the announcement proves it!
Confusing you say? I've only just begun! The "apple" that the hand is holding is none other than the fruit of the first World Tree, brought back from the past. The same World Tree that was destroyed in WoW Lore. But Hearthstone likes to play around with the Lore. Things like "what if all the heroes became Death Knights, or what if Ragnaros turned into a Paladin... So not only will we see Time Travel, we may see a whole new parallel universe here!
Far fetched? Oh there's more... so much more! I have pictures and notes all over the wall, connected together with different colored pieces of string... there's a grand pattern, which you can begin to see when you closely examine the finger print on the pointing finger.

Hmm the fruit suggests agricultural foundations, the grip of the orc's hand on the bitten fruit suggests that of a farmer's gentle yet firm grasp, the background and overall color pallet is earth tones...
At blizzard words are always chosen carefully. For me the "date" word refer to something in connection with love. We had a lot of spooky expansion recently. I think this time it will be something more like karazhan !

10 is by far much easier to divide and multiply by. You just move a decimal place. Nice try!

hahahahaha
LOL it is.
Can you prove otherwise? Almost the entire world uses it.

Yeah lol, I live in america and acknowledge metric is better but whining about the happenstance nature of the nomenclature? Comical
Durotar Cactus Apple?
Maybe we're getting a starting zone themed expansion?
fools, it's clearly Maya Angel of Death symbol and they are trying to tell us that The World will end on 18th July 2112...

New expansion is Farmville.

maybe it's about the sunny tropical beaches of Tel'Abim and their delicious fruit XD
Somebody once told me the world is gonna roll me I ain't the brightest tool in the shed.
Huh, I didn't know Shrek was coming to hearthstone in the next expansion.
Hopefully, this is a teaser for the next expansion reveal.
