Blizzard's Off-Meta Deck Spotlight - June 27, 2018
Once again, Blizzard has posted three Legend decks with above average win rates that you should give a go!
Odd Hunter
If “face is the place” then this deck is where it is at! Pan piloted this hyper-aggressive Hunter build across the America servers with outstanding results. Baku the Mooneater brings your hero power damage up from two to three and cards like Blackwald Pixie allow you to take advantage of the damage boost multiple times in a single turn. Hunter’s Mark and Ironbeak Owl help to clear the way and Glacial Shard slows any trades that may look to remove your threats from the battlefield.

Murloc Mage
Guiyze surfed through the America server, with this build that looks to flood the board with fishy friends from this Murloc Mage minion deck! Wanting to overwhelm opponents, this deck’s awesome drawing capabilities, from cards like Book of Specters and Aluneth, paired with the likes of Archmage Arugal, help to keep constant pressure on the battlefield, all while setting up for a Murloc Warleader or Gentle Megasaur to end the game!

Rush Warrior
A modern-day Warrior deck with a mean, mean stride. This Rush style tempo deck brings with it some mean, mean pride. Being able to immediately attack allows for you to always choose favorable trades and keeps up constant pressure until you can close out the game with big plays from Grommash Hellscream or Leeroy Jenkins. Until then, Void Ripper helps to deal with high health taunts, pesky Doomsayers and even adds some surprise burst from Tar Creeper and Acolyte of Pain.

The dust required to craft that Rush Warrior deck is insane.
As with all Warrior decks. Expensive archetype.
i was playing against this shit on odd rogue. one ooze and you loose
Rest assured, it doesn't happen every time.
Went 7-1 from Rank 5 to 4 with that Murloc Mage by now. Very cool deck!
Can we even say murloc mage is off-meta anymore? I've been seeing loads of them
I just love, how it says 64.3% winrate on Odd Hunter deck, while best odd hunter deck on hsreplay.net has 50% winrate. Tier 3. Who do I trust more??
There's a huge difference between the winrate of one legend player over the course of 56 games and the winrate of the entire population playing thousands of games at wildly different skill levels.
Sure there's. But it's like off-meta decks for people, not for champions. Are the percentage even that relevant then? Should they write them at all? Cause the deck is called "Odd Hunter [64.3% WR]" - not "someone can go around 70% winrate on this". Like almost every stream Firebat has above 75% winrate. Almost on any deck. Should all those decks be advertised here?
So if you understood that the winrates are expressing two very different statistics, why did you compare them and ask "who do I trust more"? Either your first or second post is disingenuous.
Because the winrates are put there in the first place as a guide for the average netdecker, and if they're not helping someone should do something about it? What's disingenuous about wanting the community to be better learned?
Pixie has much more flexibility, better tempo. Get stuck on turn 3 you're OK playing a 3 man 3/4. You're probably dead if you have to tempo play a 5 mana 4/4, AND you can't even play that one on turn 3. In face hunter, you're basically assuming your opponent is going to clear your board most turns anyways, you don't play for greed (i.e., a hope and a prayer that your 5 mana 4/4 survives a turn).
These nuances make a huge difference in face hunter with regards to choosing pixie.
i have always thought both cards work well together. if a Clockwork sticks for a turn, you can do 6 dmg that turn, and 12 next with Pixie!!
Exactly, it's called rush warrior because there's 6 more rush and charge cards than in a regular warrior deck.
Baku?
And now we have a third hunter deck in the meta.
Do me trade? Nope
Me go face? Yop
I prefer rampage warrrior over that rush warrior deck, it just seems wonky.
Never realised Grimscale Oracle has a spear O.O
*Rush Warrior: A modern-day Warrior deck with a mean, mean stride.*
Love this!
I was wondering if anyone else got the reference.
Rush's one of my fav bands ever:)
