The Best Decks for End of Season Laddering - June 2018
We're a few days away from the end of season 51 so it's time to make a final push for better loot and to improve your starting rank for July! Check out our picks for end of season decks below.
Odd Paladin
The best deck around right now. The only classes that may give you some trouble are a few of the Druid variants, Taunt Warrior, and Control decks from both Priests and Warlocks. Thankfully, those decks aren't being played very often due to being not that great against everything out there so you don't have too much too worry about.

Even Shaman
A beautiful tier 1 deck. Only really has trouble against Even Warlocks though certain Control-style decks may give you a run for your money.

Recruit Hunter
Destroy your opponent through massive amounts of value in the late game thanks to Kathrena Winterwisp. There are a few good targets in your deck for her Battlecry and Deathrattle which not only will activate through normal mechanics but also Play Dead. Take control of the board and you'll see great results! Odd Paladin and Even Shaman will give you trouble though, so if that's all you're seeing, don't go for it.

Odd Rogue
Much like our friend Recruit Hunter, this deck while amazing, has problems when it comes to Odd Paladin and Even Shaman. The fun early-game destruction through an out of control Hench-Clan Thug is a huge highlight of the deck if you haven't had the pleasure of playing with it before.

Even Warlock
Our final pick for end of season laddering is a deck which gives trouble to Odd Paladin and Even Shaman. If you're at a spot on the ladder where you're only seeing these two decks or classes, this is the deck for you! It also does great against other classes, with notable strengths against many different types of Druid decks, Recruit Hunter, and all your Warlock brothers.

I've been playing this deck the past few days. Definitely a viable deck still, feels like cheating most of the time. Hardly ever lose. And of those few losses half were due to my misplays. Shudderwock you can win, through deck disruption.
legend wild with even shaman...its not even a challenge anymore
Spellbreaker isn't that good in Even Warlock for the current meta and you already have a lot of 4 drops, imo two Gnomeferatu are more useful.
I feel like Odd Paly is a tricky business in -Rank 5 to Legend- ranks. I reached Rank 3 after many trials and tribulations with Hunter, and honestly I only saw some weird decks, instead of those expected simplistic aggro decks.
I might try Even Warlock for a last push. Kinda fits the slow(er) meta we have been seeing
9 wins in a row with odd pally and I reached rank 5 ^_^
Odd Pally currently works best for me in standard and wild
Quest Warrior is decent to very good against most of these decks (Recruit Hunter is a big problem though).
If you're thinking about last minute leveling up and run into a lot of aggro, try it out. I made it to rank 5 and 3 stars tonight with it. Against Odd Rogue, Even Shaman and Odd Paladin, just maximize your removal focus as much as possible in the early game. Lots of opponents will concede if you have 4 cards in your hand and they haven't been able to do much damage yet (they know your late game will be devastating). Against Even Warlock, play more for value and less about early removal and you'll be fine. Token Druid is almost always a walk in the park (the only play they can make that is tough is Spreading Plague into Soul of the Forest - don't play more than 3 minions at a time are you're good).
Warning, high value decks like Quest Priest, Taunt Druid and Big Druid will simply out-value you and have a much more powerful late game.
Kinda given up this month for the Legend grind managed to hit 5 star Rank 1 about 4-5 times this month with Recruit Hunter which felt like a feat in itself, I really don't think it's that strong when you look at all the statistics for it and how often the deck can brick. Final boss always seemed to be Even Shaman or Odd Pally so never got there with the rock, paper, scissors matchups xD. Always next month though.
Murloc Pally all day
Murloc is life
Had some good fun and success with big spell mage.
Big spell mage is doing fine. Only recruit hunter is hard.
Actually it's not that great anymore since Pally is much less common and Shudderwock is more common. It's not really a deck that will get you to Legend anymore, IMO.
I would agree with you to some extent
User name checks out!
There is, in fact, No Spoon 22!
Except he lose to almost any non aggro druid, to even handlock, tempo mage and shudderwock shaman; plus the fact these decks represents the remaining 50% of the meta not shown in this article xD
Check out Kibler's. It's preeeetty good.

I couldn't agree more ; )
Don't even look at the rank of your opponents. You may be allowing that to add additional stress, which isn't helping you win. They've only won a few more games than you... You can do it!
Just remember... There is no spoon: everything is your perception.
Siphon fuckin Soul dude
