Discuss This Week's Brawl
Head on over to our brawl forums to discuss this week's brawl.
Finally, a Deathstalker Rexxar hunter that can't lose by sacrificing hero power tempo.
Oh, and this brawl sucks. Random high bs-level beast assembly lines does not an interesting game make.
The fishing brawl two weeks ago? More of that kind of original thinking, please.
Taking too long, as any discover brawl. Grabbed a pack and i'm out.
Just gave a hard time to a poor player by making a Dreadscale + Stoneskin Basilisk combo'd with Dire Frenzy.
just Giant Wasp and its already done, trust me, my opponets locked the board on turn 3 (six mana for the brawl) and many turns later the game ended and that thing still was on the board.
Excellent brawl this time around: 5/5 strategic chess game
play some matches make me want to have the golden hero card, and then i remember that i dont have money and my dust for next expansion it's precious, and i forget that idea
Ugh, after the seventh time seeing this brawl it gets kind of boring... Oh shoot! Wrong timeline!
A perfect venue to show just how insanely powerful Deathstalker Rexxar is. Unless Blizzard makes hunter cards suck immensely for the next few expansions (please please please don't) I think this card will continue to feature in more decks on ladder. At the very least, it will continue to limit design space for beasts: too good (and cheap) of beasts and Rexxar will get a massive power boost. He can card carry a match vs control unless your rng fails you, and the odds of getting a decent lifesteal and/or poisonous zombeast are something like 45% I think, which is pretty solid, considering if you don't get those options you can still get taunt minions, untargetable minions, and various battlecries that can help you vs even the scariest of control decks (outside of pure infinite decks).
Rexxar is OP as balls but sufficiently balanced by being a HUnter card.
Also, more beasts added isn't actually that great since it decreases your chance of getting specific combos.
yes, but rotations will affect him. Also new sets will make him weaker, because of new beasts entering the pool.
Rexxar is not OP by himself.
ALSO keep in mind his hero power is free here which allows you to put say a 5 mana beast out on t5 rather than t7
in fact, turn 3. you start at 3 mana already
Its time for everyone's favorite game: Who can craft Vicious Fledgling first?
Note- Vicious Chargeling counts one turn earlier.
i wish it weren't but it is
I have trained for this moment...
I was pitching this same theory to my friends!
Imagine that some of the time-displaced cards are teasers of the mechanics of the next set... Toki shows up in the first set of the year... because she's a time traveler! Now imagine a Toki, Time Master Legendary card that adds a card *from the future* to your hand, giving you a small selection of cards from the third set that will be out later this year!
Time being mixed up would be a great theme for a set, especially when done in the silly Hearthstone way. Here's hoping!
Finally a Tavern Brawl I'm looking forward to play!
hours spent buildn beasts with dk rex are really paying off
build and spam a bunch of cheap beasts and if you get offered a utility/value options then build them to play when you need to
EZ brawl
a hand full of big beasts is worthless compared to a board of medium/small beasts and poison chargers in hand
