Hmm... How come neither (Quest) Taunt warrior uses The Lich King?  I kinda figured he'd be an auto-include in quest warrior decks, since he's already an auto-include in so many other archetypes.

I've tried playing quest warrior a little bit, but the RNG of the deck just screws with me haha, so I've never played it too much, but maybe someone else can explain this omission?

Well, they don't use LK because it's too slow, and this is probably the same reason why you can't play the deck, it's a mid range - aggro deck, not control like most warrior decks, so LK kinda screws you up

Lich king is weak in quest warrior. 8 mana hope he gives you a board clear basically. Any taunt that costs more than 5 and doesn’t come with board clear is not really good. You either need an early taunts to fight aggro or cheap taunts to finish quest quickly or board clears. Lich king has only 2 board clears out of all the options, and even then doom pact can only be used for finisher when your opponent is at 8 hp or lower

I may have to revisit the quest warrior deck then.  I managed to unpack Scourgelord Garrosh in those recent bundles, and it's interesting to see him in these decks.  I do remember winning one game with him actually (quest hero power, followed by equipping that 4/3 weapon to hit the face).  I know that usually you probably want to play him before equipping Sulfuras to help set things up haha, but it was still cool.

I've always thought the archetype seemed so strong and cool.  I just hate the inherent RNG of the deck thanks to Brawl and the hero power haha.

Brawl becomes your emergency button.  You want to make smart trades with your taunts, or use wide board clears from Whirlwind, Warpath, Blood Razor and the like.  But jelly, I'd love a free Garrosh.

Wow. All nine classes. And the most popular card is only in 1/3 of all decks. And this is LK, which is actually just good and fits in any non-aggro deck. Guldan is only is 4/32 of the decks (even tho there just 4 warlocks and all of them are cubelocks). It looks much better then it used to be few months before. Glad to see that

Man I never thought to see Al'Akir in the top 5 legendaries. Good to see that this old elemental getting some love in his older days.

I had a similar thought. When I saw Even Shaman rise to prominence with the Corpsetaker package, it was definitely a PogChamp moment. He's always felt like so much potential in one card, just expensive. (But definitely still respectable with combos like Flametongue Totem and/or Dire Wolf Alpha.) It's your time to shine, Al'Akir. And remember who got the last laugh, the other Elemental Lords don't even see play. (Well, in Standard. 'Cause Ragnaros the Firelord is still better than you.  And that's also overlooking Al'Akir being killed off for allying with Deathwing. But details, guys, mere details.  Shh.)
