Tess Drama, DreamHack Austin, Latest Meta, Unique Decks - Value Town #171
This week on Value Town, ChanManV and Gaara discussed the latest meta, DreamHack Austin, recent drama surrounding Tess Greymane, and more!
Watch Episode 171 below, and be sure to hit up ChanManV on YouTube to find previous episodes of Value Town. You can also follow the show on Twitter @ValueTownGG and find them on Patreon.
Why does everything seem funny to Chanman? Also, he seems to ramble on and on and on while Gaara sits there bored. Please reduce length of ValueTown to 3 to 5 minutes. Everything else they talk about is nonsense.
Also here to plug OMNI/. Much better show, and better hosts.

I feel sometimes that ChanManV and Gaara are in completely different levels of understanding HS. I feel that the discussions would be more to the point if ChanManV understood the game a bit better: I did not like the discussion about how the archetypes should be redefined in HS only because some decks are not really what we are accustomed to. They are archetypes for a reason: they will not exactly fit the description of every deck but at least the general idea is what categorizes them.
I agree with Gaara that often the casters do not properly cast because they have no idea what's going on during matches. I fel that Blizzard would rather make the casters fol around instead of actually explaining what is going on. I watch the tournaments to understand what plays are being done and which decks are better under which circumstances, not to see some dudes get paid to tell inside jokes
If these people could cut some of the "improvisation" and be more to the point. If these shows could be 5-8 minutes, short enough to have an effective impact on the community. With these lengths they serve as a reminder of Blizzard's bureaucracy, the holiness of the inner circle of Pro Players and that noone cares about the regular players. This is why there is almost no focus on Lynessa. Lynessa Sunsorrow should be reverted back! She's a paladin card, therefore she plays her cards in order, that makes more sense than the randomness in playing Tess, a mastermind in organized crime. (Why does she play her cards in random order, and why is it possible for her to kill herself?) Lynessa makes Blessed Champion a bit more interesting.
And if consistency of the game is of concern, if that TRULY is the reason for this change, why shouldn't Unstable Evolution have echo, or Charged Devilsaur get rush. Am not saying they should, since that would mess up lot of interesting combos, but if "consistency" TRULY is the argument here...
Change Lynessa back too!!!!!! We regular players demand it! Pro Players, we beg you, please, join our plead!
Just for accuracy sake, Charged Devilsaur getting rush would not just be a 'consistency' change, it would actually change how the card functions (as right now, if the battlecry doesn't go off it can charge into face, whereas rush doesn't have that ability). Unstable Evolution, on the other hand, would just be a consistency change as I'm pretty sure it and echo function exactly the same way.
What about this: Charged Devilsaur. 8-mana 7/7. Charge. Battlecry: gain Rush instead until the end of the turn.
Not sure that's really any clearer. Also "until the end of the turn" is unnecessary in the case of Rush.
I listen to this show when i mow the grass. Good job 😁
Is your yard a football field?
you can tell who lives in a city
nah you can tell he lives in a 4x4 he goes down and back twice and he's done
do you know what a lawn is?
The show is too long.
Valuetown sucks. I will only look at it in case of constipation problems. If I had to be stuck on the toilet an hour Valuetown will be my thought.
You are the real drama. Every week here with stupid arguments and one hour video.
Tess drama :))) i like it :))
Mandatory comment about duration and/or time-stamp : check! ^^
Infinite wolf is broken :v
Lets be honest: Who else just checks like me the value town posts to see if they a) reduced the lenth of the video and b) to read the complaints about the ridicilous length?
Me. I'm really satisfied
