Ah, goodbye fun tavern brawl you will be missed.
Surprisingly good deck that seems to have sneaked in under the radar: Frothing Berserker + Whirlwind, a bit slower to start but tends to do well vs Mana Wyrms, Knife Jugglers and Murlocs. That extra HP that the berserker has really helps, although being a 3-mana card usually means you'll have to play a couple whirlwinds beforehand for defense.
Just had some fun with Naturalize and Forest Guide.
Adaptation + Vicious Fledgling
Wreks most Druid/Warrior matchups, Adapt for "Can't be targeted by Spells" or Stealth until you get the former (Windfury if you only got Stealth for another chance at Naturalize/Slam immunity) then just go ham with Windfury (only needed once), +3 Damage & +1/+1.
Forest Guide can be very close though, Poisonous/Divine shield/Health can be very helpful but that matchup generally depends on how fast you get "Can't be targeted by Spells" & "Windfury".
This brawl is the very example why this game will always be crap with this community, so many wacky combos and cool stuff, yet I played against Mana Wyrm in 9 games from 10.
So counter it :P sure wacky combos are cool and all, but figuring out the solution to the common decks people seem to always be playing (i.e. solving the meta) is fun in its own way. Mana Wyrm decks easily get destroyed by Duskbreaker priest, but i have discovered two other decks that are warlock that also counter Mind Blast Duskbreaker at the same time! both lose to mill druid, but there are definitely combinations people have yet to try that can cure the frustration you feel rn. If you wanna 'cure' the cancer, do it yourself :D
Frost Nova + Deathwing does well against decks that can't cause damage without using minions (i.e. Murloc, Happy Ghoul, Sea Giant decks).
Deathwing's just a worse version of Duskbreaker tho, and since both cards being used are to make you not lose to aggro, your only out is to hit them in the face 3 times. mana wyrm mage can just missile you to death before then lol, there are better ways to get rid of minions in this brawl.
Nothing more fun than fucking every mage arcane missile + cat/wyrm player with armorsmith + warpath.
I love these Rock Paper Scissors type brawls, it makes getting the daily 100g a breeze!
Cruel Taskmaster +Rampage
i keep running into problems when i choose 2 cards that each have 2 mana. or even if i choose 2 cards that are both even
Met a Druid who played Druid of the Swarm + The Darkness. That was pretty hilarious!
Surprised he's playing that. Wouldn't Naturalize work better with The Darkness?
Probably, but Mill (or Missiles/Mind Blast spam) is so tedious to play in this Brawl... whenever I meet a Druid playing Naturalize my cursor instantly goes bottom right, buddy :)
Shieldbearer + Inner Fire or
Snowflipper Penguin + Stampede is fun !!
I played against a guy who accidentally put Divine Spirit in with this Shieldbearer instead of Inner Fire, took him a couple turns to realize the error.
Glacial shard + earthen might. Really fun and Works against mage ^_^
Wax Elemental and Earthen Might is pretty good too, idk which one is better but I'd guess its wax cos it can stick a minion easier for the buff to land on it the next turn.
Frost Nova + Lifedrinker has gotten me 20 something wins today. Enjoy.
