Hearthstone Card Balance Changes to Come After the HCT Playoffs
Blizzard has announced that a balance change patch will hit after the HCT Summer Playoffs conclude. The playoffs are finished at the end of May, so we don't have too much longer to go!
No specific changes have been announced, though Iksar has mentioned some problematic cards.

In the weeks after The Witchwood, the Hearthstone team has been avidly reading your feedback and monitoring data at all levels of play. We agree with your concerns, and we’re planning some balance changes after the HCT Playoffs are finished at the end of May. We’re not quite ready to share the details, but we’ll provide an update once the specifics are finalized.

Thank you for your feedback, patience, and your support.
Cheers!
It seems like a really long time to delay changes for a tournament. It would be one thing if there were substantially new decks in the meta but cube and dude have had too long in the sun.
hardonox 10 mana pls
Hadronox... is not causing any problems in the Meta lol
but agro deck cant win VS hardonox XDDDDD
Well... good!
Some of the changes i think that might work
Dark Pact: Destroy a Demon instead of a minion.
Doomguard: Make the charge part of the battlecry.
Spitefull Summoner: Add the minion to your hand instead of actualy summoning it.
Naga Sea Witch, only effects the card you draw.
nice ideea :D
Naga Sea Witch nerf is fine. Sounds fair enough to gain it's effects gradually rather than all at once.
So is Spiteful Sumoner, since most 10 drops have great battlecries, so it's not like the style of the spiteful decks really change outside of the tempo shift.
Dark Pact change is pretty garbage because it becomes worse than Sacrificial Pact (Which can target your opponents demons as well). And Warlock has to have some form of reliable healing, especially with all of their new self-destructive cards.
Doomguard change is also bad because it kills Zoo lock pressure, and the only reason why Doomguard is powerful in Cubelock is because of Bloodreaver Gul'Dan and Cube. A better change would be to Carnivorous Cube, which will still be in the set after Bloodreaver Gul'Dan leaves the Standard set.
Perhaps make Carnivorous Cube only summon one copy? It's stats are already suitable for a 5 drop, so it's still better than loat murker, despite not being able to target enemies.
Those are solid suggestions. I especially like the idea of making the charge part of the Doomguard's battlecry.
They already have the Spellstones for healing, 8 heal from the Pact is way too much.
But for pala? :)
Hmmm...
So your problem with Dark Pact isn't really with Dark Pact, but with Cube.
That's why I mentioned a suggestion for nerfing cubes rather than Dark Pact, because reliable healing is something that Warlock needs to keep if it wants to have any hope of keeping a control archetype.
Dark Pact cannot destroy an enemy demon, and it will still cost 1 more mana than Sacrificial Pact for 3 HP. It works fine in it's current state, but other cards have incredible synergies with dying on the turn that they're played.
Cube leaves standard at the same time Bloodreaver Gul Dan does.
Maybe spiteful summoner should summon a minion half the cost of the spell's mana? Rounded up/down?
No paladin nerf? That can't be good.
This needs WAY more upvotes
Now that's some Blizzard style nerfs, all the cards are dead now (except Doomguard is almost the same in Zoo, except it doesn't have charge when summoned from Bloodreaver Gul'Dan)
Excellent list! Great ideas, all of them. But I do think a lot of the meta is rush deck after rush deck - and nerfing lock will only reset the entire ladder to Paladins and rogues.
