Blizzard's Off-Meta Deck Spotlight - May 4, 2018
May the fourth be with you, or at least that's what we would be saying if this went up last Friday!
Once again, Blizzard has posted three Legend decks with above average win-rates that you should give a go! All decks must have at least 50 games played and are considered to be "interesting builds" which are top performers. To the decks we go!
Moxis' Charged Druid (63% WR)
Starting things off, we have Moxis from the EU server. Mixing some mechanics from The Witchwood with a few tricks from Kobolds and Catacombs, Moxis piloted this deck to an impressive 63% winrate over the course of 76 games. Utilizing cards such as Witching Hour, Silver Vanguard, and Carnivorous Cube, this deck looks to bypass the Battlecry restriction of Charged Devilsaur, sending it directly at your opponent multiple times throughout the match!

Evan's Even Shaman (62% WR)
Next up is evans from NA and their fishy take on Even Shaman. Posting an exciting 62% winrate over 74 games, evans looked to swarm opponents early with powerful tempo plays from Murkspark Eel, Vicious Scalehide, and Gentle Megasaur. If opponents are able to survive the onslaught, this deck has the ability to hold on in the late game with the triple threat of Al’Akir the Windlord, The Lich King, and Hagatha the Witch!

Trahison's Odd Warrior (69% WR)
Rounding out our list, we have an interesting take on an Odd Warrior build. Trahison from the Asia server used a clever combination of tempo and value to achieve a superb 69% winrate over 53 games. Combining the Rush package with the Warrior’s powerful control cards, this was the top performing Warrior deck overall last week.

I love this warrior list, thanks trasihon!
Damn that Charged Druid looks like a ton of fun, too bad I don't actually have the Devilsaurs.
Big Spell Mage is a meta deck, unlike the decks above (with the exception of the Taunt Warrior, which is just incredibly teched....but, yeah).
The deck must have a minimum of 50 games played at Legend rank, so your deck does not qualify.
What do you mean incredibly teched taunt warrior? This isn't taunt warrior, it's odd control warrior. You change the win condition of the deck by cutting the quest. That's not a tech, that's a different deck.
Missed that one, you are right. Well, odd warrior isn't an oddity either, tho.
Nobody said it was new.. just not widely played currently
They credited it to him. TRAHISON'S Odd warrior. That's like If I literally go to the front of hearthpwn choose a deck on the front page then do really well with it. So then Blizzard starts calling it My deck. It's stealing the credit from the person who created the deck and giving it to someone who just happens to be a good player but other than that literally contributed nothing.
Pay 2 have fun.
Try Dragon-Combo Priest. Its super cheap : no legendary, 4 epics, rares and commons. And its way more strategic than the usual swarm and curve decks.
If you mean " off meta" meaning not constantly netdecked....then sure. Baku Warrior is pretty underrated cause ive found it has a pretty good match up against cubelock cause you just outlive them and you kill everything. The only bad match up is quest rogue and Sometimes Druid.
Good stuff. New decks that are also very strong are exactly what we need right now.
Odd Warrior is not in the meta? Whoa that is news to me
Odd warrior is usually either quest or full control/fatigue. This version is more tempo oriented with rush cards, that’s the difference. Also this uses a few more unique cards not normally seen as well like king mosh, BGH, MC tech, and faceless.
Druid deck is pretty cool
Interesting. That odd warrior decklist is very similar to the odd warrior decklist that's on the front page right now. It seems to be too much of a coincidence. I wonder if there's a pro player running something along those lines.
