The Standard Brawliseum Has Taken Over Tavern Brawl This Week!
Welcome back, gladiator! Build a deck for Standard format this time and compete for glorious prizes!
Trivia
- This is the first time we are seeing the standard version of this brawl.
- This brawl is much like past Heroic Brawls but instead uses the Arena reward structure.
- One free entry to the brawl is given to all players.
How it Works
This Tavern Brawl is a cross between what we're used to seeing for Heroic Brawls and bits of Arena.
- You will pay an entry fee equal to an Arena run to take part in this Tavern Brawl.
- Using cards in your own collection, you build a deck for the standard format.
- Like Arena or a Heroic Brawl, once you lose 3 games in the Standard Brawliseum you are out.
- Rewards will be given to players based on their performance with their deck, equal to the Arena reward structure as seen below.
- Your first run of this brawl will be free! There's nothing to lose!
Share Your Brawliseum Decks
Using our deckbuilder, you can share your decks and strategy for this week's brawl. Use the deckbuilder normally but when saving your deck, make sure you change the Deck Type to "Tavern Brawl" and the brawl to "The Standard Brawliseum". Following these instructions will help other players find your deck. Don't forget to include screenshots to show proof of your wins and losses!
Wow how did you get 9k gold? You must be one of those that reuse toilet tissue to save the most money possible.
Hello,
I was intrigued by your claim of 9k winnings in the wild brawliseum so i did the math and it goes like this :
We will take the best possible scenario :12 wins all the time with 0 losses(which is ridiculous but let's do it for the math sake). The 12 win reward is ~ 400 gold from which we subtract the entry fee which is 150 , leaving us to a "profit" of 250 gold/run which means to get to 9k you would need 36 runs.
Putting an average play time of 7 minutes/game, that gives us ~ 90 minutes/run. Multiplying that to 36 we have a total of 3240 minutes or 54 hours.
Considering that the brawl lasts for 4 days that would mean that you have played 14 hours /day for the duration of these 4 days.
Is that the case or is the 9k figure not quite accurate ?
I played around 40 runs indeed and yes I did play a lot that week! Kudos for the calculations though.
Ok.
So you are claiming that you won 40 brawls with 10 or more wins in a row.
I can lick my elbow.
The meta on ladder is so hated that the top brawl decks (which are just standard ladder decks) are all in the negatives.
Bad brawl, Blizzard. We wanted relief from the standard meta in our weekly brawls, not a pay-for version of it. My free run isn't very appealing to me, but I'll probably give it a shot to see how I do. At least if I get tired of it I can just retire and get the pack so I can focus on ladder instead of constructed arena.
Fast 0-3 First game spiteful priest gets Tirion on turn 6... second game.. spellhunter topdecks every round from round 4 however this one manages to topdeck just the right card every round. third game spell hunter gets the 3/5 taunt of a secret aswell as I am the lucky winner of starting with 3 4 drops and a 5 drop... NICE brawl.. NOT...
nicely brawl, not.
does not matter, aggro decks from ladder there will be here
well done. not interesting to play.
Yeah, on EU there are only agro decks.
Aggro face hunter, aggro dude pally, aggro murlock pally, aggro hunter (a bit less face oriented than usual face hunter). The spitefull decks are looks like heavy control deck compared to all of these :D
I'm not even sure i want to do my free run....
Exactly how i feel.
I agree completely. Either play a fun deck and serve as free wins to at least one of Cube/Summoner/Paladin, or play one of those myself and drill a hole in my skull out of boredom.
The top brawl deck on the front page is -3 lol. I haven't played yet, but is it basically all gonna be spiteful druid and cubelock? Fuuun brawl guys lol.
I'll still give my miracle rogue a try. If I lose 3 immediately, great, I don't need to look at the brawl again haha.
Anyone tried Spell Hunter? I haven't played it for a while... Is it better to take Lady in White Priest?
This kinda makes me wish I learned the way of Cubelock...
Faced 3 elemental mages, lost against one, won against 2. Lost against a Baku rogue, Almost had lethal too.
Lost against a Druid that ran Spiteful Ult Infest and Bittertide Hydra. Kinda retarded as hell.
The reward for 3 wins is pretty underwhelming. a few gold, a few dust and 1 pack... hmmm, and I'm against people where they can build Ladder decks, decks that get them to Legend. Meh. Blizzard.
made a taunt druid deck and my hadronox was the bottom card of my deck 3 of my 4 games and the other game it was 3rd to the bottom of my deck. RNG sucks sometimes which is why you never drop gold on this crap lol.
Do you play Master Oakheart? Doubles your chances of pulling it out on curve. Then, with cards draw like nourish and UI, you are pretty likely to be able to draw it on time. But of course, if both oakheart and hadronox are at the end of your deck...
