Quote from DaxxarriThe Monster Hunt has begun!
The Monster Hunt is The Witchwood’s new free, single-player mission content.
You’ll take on the role of one of four veteran monster hunters who are venturing deep into the Witchwood on Hagatha’s trail. Each of these heroes (or anti-heroes as the case may be!) has their own favorite tricks—a special hero power or ability that you’ll need to master if you hope to survive the hunt. Each time you go on a Monster Hunt, you’ll attempt to defeat a series of up to eight monstrous bosses. With each victory, you’ll build a stronger and stronger deck with the items you find—though if you should fall, you’ll have to begin your hunt again with a fresh deck. The trail ahead won’t be easy—the forest is full of fiendish foes! Each hunter also carries a grudge against a particular foe they’ve crossed paths with before—a nemesis, if you will. These are unique bosses that only that hunter can track down to fight.
You’ll want to go on a Monster Hunt with all four heroes because each offers a quest that, if completed, will earn you a The Witchwood card pack! Each quest completed will unlock the next quest in the series, but hunt swiftly—these quests are only available for a limited time*. If you can complete the Monster Hunt with all four hunters, you’ll finally have a chance to face off with the source of the evil in the Witchwood: Hagatha!
If you can defeat Hagatha with the power of all four heroes combined, and free the wood from her vile curse, you’ll earn the gratitude of Gilneas and the Monster Hunter card back!
Tess, Darius, Shaw, and Toki aren’t the only ones with an interest in the Witchwood! Learn more about each of them and the other dreadful denizens of the Witchwood in the Mysterious Missives series:
The Monster Hunt awaits! We’ll see you on the trail!
Tess with jade shurikens and that passive treasure which allow you to cast your hero power twice per turn is insane! Just made it without any problem!
Took Tess Graymane two times. The first time was a loss with a crap build. For the second run I took a card steal/miracle build and to be honest: It was too easy. To get it across: I did about 100-200 catacombs dungeon runs with each class just because I like it somehow and the last 2-3 bosses are predominantely difficult to defeat.
In this case I sensed that even the last boss (Captain Shivers) was pretty easy. My Questing Adventurer increased in size faster and faster and his Fel Reaver burned one card after another.
I'm anyway very anxious to see how the other moster hunter will perform
This is not epic. Tess kills him on turn 2. With a little stone, that costs 0.
If you get Cult of the Wolf it can be turn 1 even.
Just beat Glinda with Shaw. There was mana cheat invoved...and King Krush...and Tyrantus...a lot of them actually.
i've done it :)
i drafted aggro tess, aggro shaw, aggro darius and elemental toki
finished in 198 mins

The Whisperer turn 2 guaranteed win with Tessa.
Use your hero power to get the 0 mana deal 1 damage spell before any spell is cast.
Use it 35 times :)
Job done.
THE MIGHTY PEBBLE OF WRAITHSLAYING!
I had 3 quests and the adventure's one just "ate" the third one! Come on Blizz!
You should know by now that this always happens when there are special quests announced. Either way, this shouldn't happen... It's like they are too lazy to put another spot for this quests.
Playing just for card back hmm , looks like fun time in hs.
Most of the PvE adventures are wild format. That goes for your cards as well as the decks you face.
Also previous dungeon run hasn´t been updated with new cards, so this one won´t gain anyting new when next expansion hits.
You can still go smash Lich Kings and all the old adventures with your new shiny cards tho. It´s just these new draft modes have set cards, and that´s it, never updated it seems. Sad, I wanted to try Shudder in a Battlecries x2 shammy in the previous dungeon run...
As far as I can tell, Hal'vixx is an automatic loss.
And just when I needed one more win. Yeah, not enjoying this a lot but I have to play it to clear my quest log.
Toki is insanely hard.
depends on RNG (heh). I'd suggest going for elementals and trying to get the double-cast passive as well as spell cost reduction.. Basically you just need lots of ressources that you can reroll if you need to. I beat OTki on the first try, but I didn't really face in hard bosses (and the final boss is easy with the hero power reset to check secrets or tempt RNG)
