Quote from DaxxarriThe Monster Hunt has begun!
The Monster Hunt is The Witchwood’s new free, single-player mission content.
You’ll take on the role of one of four veteran monster hunters who are venturing deep into the Witchwood on Hagatha’s trail. Each of these heroes (or anti-heroes as the case may be!) has their own favorite tricks—a special hero power or ability that you’ll need to master if you hope to survive the hunt. Each time you go on a Monster Hunt, you’ll attempt to defeat a series of up to eight monstrous bosses. With each victory, you’ll build a stronger and stronger deck with the items you find—though if you should fall, you’ll have to begin your hunt again with a fresh deck. The trail ahead won’t be easy—the forest is full of fiendish foes! Each hunter also carries a grudge against a particular foe they’ve crossed paths with before—a nemesis, if you will. These are unique bosses that only that hunter can track down to fight.
You’ll want to go on a Monster Hunt with all four heroes because each offers a quest that, if completed, will earn you a The Witchwood card pack! Each quest completed will unlock the next quest in the series, but hunt swiftly—these quests are only available for a limited time*. If you can complete the Monster Hunt with all four hunters, you’ll finally have a chance to face off with the source of the evil in the Witchwood: Hagatha!
If you can defeat Hagatha with the power of all four heroes combined, and free the wood from her vile curse, you’ll earn the gratitude of Gilneas and the Monster Hunter card back!
Tess, Darius, Shaw, and Toki aren’t the only ones with an interest in the Witchwood! Learn more about each of them and the other dreadful denizens of the Witchwood in the Mysterious Missives series:
The Monster Hunt awaits! We’ll see you on the trail!
Toki has no uniquie SFX when she plays a Toki. Disappointed.
Event clear in 1-2 tries per boss. The "hardest" were crawley and shaw (2 attempts), also took 2 attempts at hagatha. Very easy.
won wiyh all of them in 1-2 triea except shaw, I am in the 5th try with him,he has a really bad hero power compared to the other 3.
Buddy of mine beat Shaw on first try. Be encouraged?
If u get the power so your hounds are 3/1 instead of 1/1 he seems pretty good.
Unless you face the 7th boss who turns dead minions into 1/3s. Then you are screwed
faced him 3 times in a row :(
I'm loving Hunstmaster Shaw character, his voice and sense of humor are spot on, and the illustration of the hounds he summons, plus their paw animation getting into the battlefield...wow! I wish Hunter had his Hero Skin and emotes. Would make me want to play Hunter Class :D REally enjoying this adventure mode so far!
is it me or Hunstmaster Shaw look like tommy wiseau
Oh hi Mark.
okay, Gnomenapper was such a trip to fight; turn 4 he got off his Sack of Gnomes and let's just say I'm thankful I had the double your health treasure. I was starting to wonder if this fight was winnable when he suddenly played Millhouse Manastorm and bam, cruised the rest of the match, mostly in part to infinite Saps for free spells every turn.
Lol. Don't have a screenshot but I pulled a counterfeit coin off a blink fox with sinister strike in hand. GG
Beat Hagatha on the first try...I guess I got lucky with my treasures. Upgraded spell damage put in a ot of work, but the key ended up being to outvalue her with Tess hero power and just shove damage into her face while buffing minions with Mukla's Champion
How its possible tha ppl have already cleared this while im still trying to do the 10 Darius wins who cant even pass the 6th boss ? How lucky ppl can be in this ....
Darius is pretty hard if you don#t get good treasures. Try until you get cannon damage upgrade + the guy who gives you a second cannon + Hero Power synergies and Boardclear/Frothing berserker packages. Most bosses don't have hard removal and double cannons with 2-damage is pretty busted, especially when you got a Maiden of the Lake up
big creatures + reduce their cost to 5 works too
i had 3 varians, 3 lich kings, 4 ysharjj's and 2 rags
I won using Whenever cannon fire reduce cost by 2 + Double health
I defeated it with an extra mana cristal and his opponent minion's costing one more mana... and then taking care of my Grim Patron. Easy win.
I defited him with that +2hp on your minions and 5 alextrazas champions. Turns out spamming 3/5 chargers for 2 mana is preeetty good. Also I barely even used cannon only vs that boss that summons wisps
