Top Five Highest Win-Rate Witchwood Decks
Using data sourced from our Innkeeper application, we've got the top five highest win-rate decks for Witchwood. Decks showcased below for each of the archetypes are the exact decklist that has the advertised win-rate. Variants of these decks may be on par with them and may even be better depending on what you are seeing on the ladder.
You can help contribute your own game data by installing Innkeeper and playing games with it open in the background. The application, available on Windows, also provides an overlay so you can see which cards remain in your deck to better plan your future turns.
[66%] Odd Paladin
The first deck we've got for you features Baku the Mooneater via Odd Paladin! A deck that I've personally piloted, it looks like the community overall has a slightly higher win-rate than the one I've advertised. It's a super fun deck with lots of little combos that flood the board and completely overwhelm your opponent.

[65%] Spiteful Druid
The second highest ranked deck right now is Spiteful Druid! This is the list that Hearthstone's Iksar has played on the ladder and it looks like it wasn't only working for him considering the high win-rate.

[61%] Cubelock
Cubelock returns again to be a prominent player in the Hearthstone meta. Not a whole lot has changed since Kobolds, but the deck now has an additional, more powerful Defile through Lord Godfrey and Voodoo Doll is all kinds of annoying for your opponent. No guide is available, but here's the list Zalae was playing a few days ago and that is sitting at the magical 61% win-rate.

[61%] Spiteful Priest
Our fourth top deck is Spiteful Priest, a deck which gained a couple of very nice cards with Witchwood that enables token generation for the deck through Nightscale Matriarch and beautiful instant gratification through Scaleworm.

[60%] Aggro Mage
This specific deck was theorycrafted and popularized by Trump. No one has yet written a guide for it, but the deck plays quite simply. Lots of low-cost spells alongside the new Vex Crow give you some serious value in the early game.

its just more likely that the meta has trickled up to ranks 15+ yet.. as soon as they catch on i'm sure many will start using these decks. mostly people are stuck at those ranks cause they are uninformed, or choose to play funner decks than always meta decks.
at rank 5-4 i do see alot of these decks mentioned, but different variations of them with different tech cards
Is this data available to Innkeeper users? And if not can you make it available? Hearthstone Deck Tracker makes it’s data available to users.
I diagree, with the tech choices available to Genn version, there are a LOT more variety of decks you can create.
You can create the Dinosize + spiteful version
or you can go with the more classic mid- rangey equality version. Mid range is a much more flexible deck and it's tougher for your opponents to play around your cards.
Reading some comments, why the hate on even paladin? And what nerfs are coming? Sources?
It’s almost an all-neutral deck. UI is the only necessary Druid card.
This is no good design: we don’t want the classes to be so similar, and if neutrals are being played this much, they are.
Its not the top dog though, or at least yet, so it (spiteful) probably doesn't warrant a nerf
I eat crow mages for breakfast. How are they a big contender? You'd think even paladin would be in the list instead.
Btw, to all ppl considering making that cubelock deck lemme just tell you, voodoo doll SUCKS. As warlock u hardly EVER need single targer removal, I mean its good for tyrantus, but not anything else. I got a nice cubelock list on my profile, a bit too expensive but u can tweak it for your needs. Dont play that SHIT list
Crow mage 60% WR? WHERE? Prob on rank 26
There is a top 50 Legend deck listed on this site, with the stats to back it up.
Can someone please tell me why all Spiteful Druid Decklists run Grand Archivist? I get that drawing 5 cards is nice but you don't want to do that more than once and most of all targets are random! Of all the people playing this Deck that I've faced only two of them play Archivist and both times UI screwed them over by killing their stuff so why is the card considered core of the Deck?
Also, how does Spiteful Priest have 61% winrate? The ladder is infested with Paladins and with just 2 Duskbreakers the matchup is not as good as it used to be....
Turn 8 UI is just good, and typically you either draw the second UI or are able to trade the Archivist to prevent the second cast.
61% W/L is taken from the Innkeeper statictics app, so it's considered accurate. I personally didn't meet a single Paladin on high ranks (5-10) and finished my run to Rank 5 with an 80% W/L ratio
Highly favored against Cubelock, the defense is improved from last expansion also. I have beat Even Paladin twice in my matchups today at rank 4.
i play ALOT of spiteful priest so i'll answer this. the matchup is not as unfavored as you think, baku paladin relys on having a board, then buffing the board. as long as the priest deck can keep up, they will never have a board to buff properly.
they don't have get ahead tools like call to arms, they rely on hero power every turn. if you get cleric + shadow ascendent out, you win like 90%. odd paladin has no board clears, they rely on getting ahead and staying ahead. i fell like on spiteful deck i'm more afraid of genn paladin deck. they have equality and aoe and dark conviction to deal with all of spiteful's big stuff.
tldr, you win if you get your early drops, you lose even if you get your aoes (like you said, just having 2 aoes won't stop them from refilling board)
5 decks with 60% winrate article on hearthpwn. Mumbo-jumbo copy paste and new meta is born.
Meta is already filled with spiteful priests and druids.
And cubelocks
