I think the best comparison is actually Stampeding Kodo. For one mana more, and one more in the stat line, it’s an “AoE” effect.
Imagine a world full of deathrattle, but without N'zoth.
Given what we've seen thus far, Blizzard will probably just print a card with a similar but weaker effect than N'Zoth except they'll make it a Common.
Imagine if Splitting Festeroot had taunt along with it's tokens.... :D
That would make it a neutral voidlord...
No. That would make it an EVEN BETTER neutral Voidlord :P (well, unless it's silenced)
Splitting Festeroot + Dollmaster Dorian ?
Dollmaster Dorian + Countess Ashmore = kaboom Splitting Festeroot
Mossy Horror is actually pretty good if you think about it. It's a Shadow Word: Horror with a 2/7 body. You're getting a 2/7 body for 2 mana. That's pretty good.
ACTUALLY
Horror itself isn't that great a card and for a while was bad for priest. What makes the card 'work' is priest's ability to lower everyone's attack down in various ways, thus creating a version of Equality+conc. And even then Horror isn't always used.
So for most classes, this is a spell without much use (not many 2 attack minions showing up at the 6 mana mark) combined with a card that can't kill anything (not many creatures with 2 health at the 6 mana mark). Bad on bad.
It has to at least kill two things to be better than Stampeding Kodo. If you can't kill anything with it, is very poor. I feel it is too situational. Will have to see how the meta is and how it plays out.
More crap for Warriors... thanks Blizzard. Looks like I can just skip this whole expansion.
More Crap? Warriors gotten some good cards. Town Crier has the potential to be a meta defining card. This card might not have a crazy power level, but if we get just a couple more aggro warrior cards it could be totally broken.
Can`t agree with you. It`s a good card for tempo deck. You can have it 5-7 if there are 3 other minioins on the board.
Best cards so far
Splitting Festeroot would be an interesting effect with Houndmaster Shaw, but it's probably way too expensive to see play in that context, particularly since hunter has access to Savannah Highmane.
You can copy the deathrattle with Seeping Oozeling though... But maybe rush is not good enough to justify.
its a cool card, but I think its too to be competitive. Remember Wobbling Runts
Every one of them is quite interesting to be honest.
Splitting Festeroot is 8 mana for 24 worth of stats, so I could see it being played.
