Witchwood Releases April 12 - Final Card Livestream on April 9
The Witchwood comes to Hearthstone on April 12! Get ready for a stream this Monday at 11 AM PDT (2 PM EDT, 8 PM CEST). Ben Brode and Day[9] will host the final event.
Quote from BlizzardThe city of Gilneas once lived in uneasy peace with the sprawling, ancient forest that looms beyond its walls. Though the wilderness was grim and forbidding, the citizens of Gilneas—being no ordinary folks—roved and hunted there without fear.
That was before a darkness began to fester in the heart of the forest. . . . Before the wicked witch Hagatha cast a dire curse!
A sunless gloom now cloaks winding trails, and gnarled branches claw hungrily at passersby. Terrified travelers speak of misshapen shadows flickering in an unearthly mist. In the witching hours, eerie figures have even been seen to stalk the narrow alleys and foggy, cobble-stoned streets of the city itself.
Foolhardy travelers who dare venture beyond the city walls after nightfall disappear into the wilderness, never to return. The Witchwood is safe for none to tread!
Beginning April 12, join the city’s brave monster hunters as they enter the forest on the trail of Hagatha the Witch in Hearthstone’s newest expansion: The Witchwood!
For a limited time* after The Witchwood arrives, log in to claim three card packs and a random class legendary card—both from the expansion—for free!
Time is running out to pre-purchase The Witchwood before the expansion launches to receive a special 50 card pack bundle, as well as the In a Dark Woodcard back and 20 more The Witchwood card packs as a bonus!
You will receive the In a Dark Wood card back and your packs as soon as your purchase is processed, and you can tear into your card packs once the expansion is live in your region.

I can agree with the ppl saying this set feels a little bit underwhelming. But I think this is because Team5 is finally starting to figure out the direction they want to take this game to. And it seems they learned from mistakes from the past by not printing that many clearly overpowered cards and toning down the overall power level. If this in the long run makes the game more skillful and thus more fun for me and for the likes of me, then so be it. We'll have to wait and see.
I hope you are right, but I think it's a bit early to say that.
First of all, we have not seen the entire set yet. While people tend to expect that the best cards are shown at the start, it's never fully been the case. I remember that previous expansions had some of the best cards in the final reveal, like Small-Time Buccaneer, Fandral Staghelm or Radiant Elemental.
Second, even if most of the set looks weak, 20-30 powerful cards are more than enough to shape the meta. Pretty much every previous expansion was ultimately defined by something between 30-40 cards, and many of them became less important over time. So, TWW really just needs a handfull of cards to be as painful as MSG.
Third, all expansions have looked kind of underwhelming during the reveal season. That's where people rating cards make mistakes. Many cards have been looking bad in theory and turned out to be strong in practice (the opposite happens as well). There have been so many cases where cards looked bad or just "ok" on paper, and then ended up dominating the meta or even getting nerfed, like The Caverns Below. I would not be surprised if the same happens in TWW. It's also important to consider that the rotation will change a lot of things for Standard.
And finally, even if TWW turns out to be on the weak side, and is about as "bad" as TGT, I would wait at least two more expansions to see if Team5 stays with that line or if this is just the exception. WOG was a pretty fair expansion as well, while MSG is still relevant to this day.
I really wish we would get away again from 8k+ dust decks and the game stops getting more and more insane, but I am not really convinced yet that Team5 feels the same.
You are right in pretty much everything, seems like I was kinda expressing my hopes there
Can't wait Big Ben to laught
I can’t wait for a decent mage or druid card to be released. Obviously Blizzard needs to keep the power level low at the beginning of a cycle, but giving two classes nothing but trash? That’s too much.
I can't wait to hear Ben Brode's laugh as he reveals the remaining terrible Casino Shaman cards.
MEGA CARD DUMPPPPP
For next expansion’s card reveal, they should get Kripparian. Just imagine the laughs from Ben Brode.
Brode woukd be laughing awkwardly as Kripp sits there unamused saying, “Oh... Well that card is garbage!”
Bullshit decks , bullshit rng , crazy topdeck, drooling noobs , fuck me dude ~Kripp
So friday 13th for EU
