Decks that don't care about developing the board don't want to pay for overcosted removal that develops the board. Most of the decks that are most prone to break if they get too much card draw are "unfair" decks that don't care about developing incremental board position. That's exactly why this is a relatively safe card design — only "fair" decks care about drawing rush minions.
Drawing any card would be completely broken, Kobold librarian is considered a super good card only limited by how powerful the warlock hero power is, "nerfing" to draw any card would make this an objectively better kobold librarian. An objectively better version of a card which is already super powerful is not a good idea.
I guess nerfing it to any card might make it better, but I still think that being able to draw just rush cards with this is amazing.
This card is really good for warrior, and it could be the piece that enables a new archetype to actually be viable. It’s a shame it’s epic because that can limit its play for some.
Still think there's not an excuse for this being a 1/2 and not a 1/3.
Good card anyway.
a 1 mana 1/3 draw a card? not op at all!
Novice engineer was nerfed as a 2 mana 1/2
The best rush card hasn't rush LUL
really no one is upset because its epic?
rarities mean little to nothing (perspective from a f2p), its not legendary so you can have 2 copies, thats all that really matters
hmm I might start focusing on warrior next expansion...
Aha! I've figured out how to meme with this card to its maximum potential!
2 Town Criers + Dollmaster Dorian + Cult Master + Rush minions + Dead Man's Hand + Frothing Berserker = PAIN
Whoever figures out a deck with this gets 200,000 internet points.
And you can hear the Town Crier periodically howling "BRING OUT YER DEAD!" off in the distance...
Juts realized that Town Crier enables a somewhat unique style of Warrior deck (besides regular Rush Warrior)
If you run two Town Criers and just a few powerful Rush minions, such as Darius Crowley or Muck Hunter, along with Dead Man's Hand, you can infinitely cycle through the same 5 or so cards (using Battle Rage) quite rapidly. Could be extremely efficient.
Just an interesting thought I had. Not sure if good, but its something very unorthodox that doesn't really happen normally in Hearthstone, which is rather fascinating.
But this is just some sort of Coldlight Oracle + Dead Man's Hand variation based on board presence instead of tried to mill/fatigue your opponent while cycling your deck quickly. "Infinitely cycle through the same 5 or so cards" it's essentially what DMH does
I got your idea. Nzoth DMH warrior was a thing not based on mill but tempo, control and value. My point is... make your hand becomes your deck and make this becomes infinite is whats DMH does, if is rush, deathrattle or mill doesnt matter
About efficiency with this "rush pack" i can't see working with dmh because is a do-nothing-card that you have to draw and spend mana casting. While rush minions fight for the board protecting key minions that alreafy there. But this my opinion, who knows...
I imagine rush in some tempo warrior that fight aggressively for the board with their minions
A 1 mana 1/2 with directed draw. Very, very strong in a vacuum but whether it's gonna be played depends on there being a deck that wants to play Rush minions.
The Swift Messenger is a pretty good card in any archetype other than super aggro, with all these support cards it's just gotta see play even if I'm not sure what other rush card would go along with it, depending on the meta it might be better than Militia Commander.
Putting in Muck Hunter with Cornered Sentry and Mind Control Tech isn't a bad option either, warriors run whirlwind effects anyways.
i thought Darius Crowley animation was giving M finger (05:10),
well, looks like i was wrong. lul
