Reminds me of that 6/3 for 5 mech that got divine shield whenever another mech was played. I can't remember the name, because nobody played it. I think it was cobalt something.
edit Yup, Cobalt Guardian.
Well, problem with that minion was that it didnt have Divine Shield itself.
The big differences being that Cobalt Guardian had a higher cost (meaning it was easier to trade up into it) and most importantly it did not start with divine shield, meaning that protecting it was at least a 6 mana/two card play (assuming Clockwork Gnome).
This card can be played on curve and get you at worst a bit of tempo (requiring at least a 4 mana play to remove, assuming ping plus 3/2 two-drop) and if it survives you can play cards like Friendly Bartender or Benevolent Djinn to give it an effective "Regain divine shield at the end of each turn" effect (or with Truesilver Champion).
It won't be a win condition (though it might theoretically combo well with Bolvar, Fireblood), but it will be able to grant a decent tempo advantage.
the problem is that control pally doesnt need this card and aggro pally doesnt want this card.
If there only were other deck types other than those 2 very broad categorizations ... ^^
tao thấy lá này không ngon lắm, tụi mày thấy sao?
I agree.
Freaking commies.
Just kidding, yeah we'll have to see if divine shields and/or restoring health get a bit more support in later cards.
Healadin Hype! :O
What a great Epic card
What is wrong with this art?
It is not finished yet
I think it actually is and it is supposed to remind guardian made of stained glass. Cool idea imo.
I guess this can be slightly annoying if you don't kill it right away so that your opponent gets to attack with it and reapply the Shield.
Threw together a deck with him:
Might retool it down the line.
too bad that divine shield + heal does not synergize well... the glass knight needs charge/rush to be worth playing or his effect should effect all healed minions. Giving friendly healed minions divine shield would also only be viable in mid/control deck because dude-pala does not play heals + his minions have hardly more than 1/2 health
This also curves well off Benevolent Djinn, but it costs the same as Truesilver. On the other hand, New Bolvar or Applebaum comes out right after this too. This may just work.
It would be cool if there were paladin cards that increased your maximum health like Amara, Warden of Hope does and you should have card bonuses for that. Cards that increased your max health would allow you to use lots of weapons, and this kind of weapon-max health-heal synergy could make control paladin pretty viable. 4Head
Exactly.. only weapons or self-dmg-cards like walrocks cards would help heal-pala..for gods sake, I even considered using alexstraza on my own hero to get blackguard/spellstone value...
