Heeeeeeeyyyyyy Silvermoon Guardian howaya doin?
Divine Shield cost the same as the minion attack, Silvermoon Guardian as a 4 drop must have 9 vanilla stats. So, 9-3=6, made him a 4 mana 3/3 Divine Shield. The same goes for other keywords like charge, that also cost the same as the minion attack
But class minions always have +1 stats points. For example, Korkron Elite it's a 4/3 charge minion, but as a neutral it would be a 4 mana 3/3 charge.
So, the same happens for this minions, a 4 mana 4/3 divine shield. Now, this also is a legendary and you can only run one copy per deck, so it also have an extra ability who add some value to the card.
What the hell's up with people disappointed by this card?
One of the more formidable 4-drops of Whispers of the Old Gods was a 4/2 Divine Shield minion, and it didn't even have the proc of regaining the shield.
The Glass Knight may not break any metas, but it's far from a bad card.
It was run in C'thun decks because it was decent, not because it was especially great. Also Old Gods has been power creeped to hell, its an incredibly weak set in comparison to the past few sets.
This is a weak card, through and through. Not enough heal effects in pally, and even then, cards don't stick around for long. You can't realistically expect to activate this effect more than once, if at all. Reminds me of new bolvar, who has the same issue.
actually I remember some people ran the card even in non-C'thun decks because they said its a "decent card"
Maybe if it had Rush alongside Divine Shield it would look a lot better.
I'm only disappointed, because this considered to be a legendary and I'm like "For what?"
It's a better Fjola, because it's easier to trade within it's mana cost, but... it's still a 4 mana card and paladin just always had enough 4 mana premium card and this just does not hits that pretty high level of playability (Like, truesilver, stegodon in dude pala or gentlesaur)
What if it gets lifesteal?
Infinity attacks?
its impossible to get lifesteal. but you can pair it up with another life steal minion or Benevolent Djinn
Technically not impossible, just pretty hard. Lorewalker Cho into Elixer of Life from a priest or a priest can steal it and give it Elixir of life. Very difficult/improbable set up but it's there. However because of the wording on this card and how life steal works, The Glass Knight would get the divine shield AFTER the attack has been made, so no infinite attack. However if paired with strong healing like listed above it can have a lot of Divine Shields.
If a priest steals it then it won't need lifesteal, he can just hero power and it effect activates.
Yes I understand that, but i'm purely stating the situation in which it gets life steal and that even if it does that it doesn't function in the way of infinite divine shields
The idea is the it has divine shield AND lifesteal, that way everytime it looses the divine shield it gains a new one.
Wish it was an elemental. would love to play an elemental paladin deck.
So he's a yeti who trades away 2 health for a divine shield, essentially forcing either 2 trades or a ping and a trade (and the two most common classes are Priest and Warlock who don't have easy pings except Mortal Coil). I wouldn't craft him but if I got him in a pack I'd play with him. If only he had rush!
First I Shiv off the shield, then Backstab and dagger it down. Then I laugh as you play a bunch of low impact healing cards you diluted your deck with to enable it. Finally, I draw my whole deck and kill you.
What a turd of a Legendary.
4/3 Divine Shield is pretty good for 4, even if you don't activate the ability. If you activate it once with a lifesteal minion, you're doing pretty well. This doesn't need a deck built around it. But the Divine Shield paladin archetype was not a top tier deck before, and this doesn't compensate for the lost of Burnbristle.
some people hated how good the 4/2 divine shield C'thun minion was and this is literally a 3 health version with an upside.
HUR DUR WHATS THIS Voidlord? I JUST Sap IT FINALLY, I DRAW MY WHOLE DECK AND KILL YOU. WHAT A TURD OF A CARD.
