Blessing of the Raven is This Week's Brawl!
As the Witchwood looms close... an enchanted raven appears in the tavern! It's looking for mischief -- choose a class and gain a deck with the Raven's Blessing.
Trivia
- This is a brand new brawl!
- The brawl celebrates the upcoming Year of the Raven, Hearthstone Zodiac.
- A classic card pack is rewarded for your first victory. Usually, we get next expansion packs at this point in time.
How it Works
- Choose a hero and get given a deck.
- Each minion played gains a Blessing of the Raven, giving that minion a new keyword.
- The keywords gained can be Lifesteal, Poisonous, Stealth, Charge, or Windfury.
Discuss This Week's Brawl
Head on over to our dedicated discussion thread on our Tavern Brawl forums.
Well, aint this my lucky day... Opponent got Lyra the Sunshard with stealth into Unidentified Elixir and then topdecked Faceless Manipulator the turn after... Got a Frozen Throne pack though :)
Fun mechanic, horrible decks, as usual:
Also, seems like taunt minions are getting stealth bonus way too often.
Two words: Garbage Brawl.
I keep getting super unlucky in all my games so far.
Instead of giving the minions echo/rush...that would have been a chance to hype for the expansion and let us try the mechanics but no...
I got a golden Deathwing from the RNG clown fiesta pack, not gonna complain.
Annoyingestest brawl ever...
I normally don't complain about Brawls, but ffs could they have put any less thought/effort into this one? So I'm playing while the Innkeeper is babbling away at the bottom of the screen and I'm waiting for some special "Raven" effect or some unique card...
Anyway, I was thinking...they should do a card reveal IN a Tavern Brawl. When you start the Brawl, every deck has the same Witchwood card in it, which hasn't been revealed yet. After more thought, this might not work because the card would be datamined ahead of time?
Happy I won on the first attempt. Praise RNGesus!
Summoning portal with stealth is the best thing evah!!
all players play thrall or paly in this brawl .
Got an awesome classic pack. Got my second Cabal Shadow Priest finally, and a golden Shadowform. Love that sweet, sweet dust right before the expansion.
This tavern brawl is ass. It is an rng fest where your opponent will either steamroll you or you will destroy them. Almost no strategy at all. What better way to get me excited for the year of the raven than old cards sporting exciting new mechanics such as charge, windfury, stealth and poisonous! Seriously. Why not incorporate the new echo and rush mechanics as well just for fun? It fails at being fun and at promoting the year of the raven.
Why is people still complaining about RNG in this game?
Because it's a serious issue and very infuriating to the majority of Hearthstone's player-base. Players have every right to get upset about consistent RNG. You not being concerned with it just tells me you have no idea what playing at a rank higher than 10 is like.
I've been Legend in the past, and don't personally mind 100% RNG fuckfiesta when it's in Brawl. To each their own, and assuming one's level based on their preferences won't get us anywhere, because you can't do that.
I understand it might not be fun for a lot of people, and frankly, this is an uninspired brawl that has nothing to do with the upcoming expansion. I don't know why they stopped doing like they did in TGT, namely, enabling players to play select decks with brand new cards before the expansion was even out. It built hype and was truly new. However, how do you know the majority of players do not like this type of Brawl? Hearthpwn or Reddit are a minority, by a huge margin. The most vocal, sure. But certainly not the most important for Hearthstone devs, who can manage to see the bigger picture through all their analytics and stuff.
im a legend player and never finish a month under rank 3 and i love RNG, it what make this game fun in my opinion. if i didnt want RNG i would go back to chess. hell even gwent(great game) or maybe MTG. i play heartstone because i love the crazy things you can do and not because i delusional that one day i will be pro! dont get me started about statistics and the fact that RNG is not really RNG. and the fact that the more you play "favorable RNG" the more times it work in your favor and the more you win.
Opponent plays 3x alarmobot, gains 3x stealth, funny random clown fiesta.
Overall a fun brawl, no one has an overwhelming advantage and it is easy to complete your daily quests ...
P.S. I noticed after I do complete a daily it shows a reward of a pack then it repeats again?
Has 10 health, almost no board.
Opponent has 20 health, full board.
Topdeck 9 mana 6/10 taunt to save me sorry butt.
Plays said Mammoth. It gets stealth.
Conceded and wonder why I've lost 3 of the last 4 matches with shamana because totems get poison/charge/windfury while minions get stealth, stealth, and stealth...
10/10, would take RNGesus's name in vain again.
