This card is in my opinion definitely designed for odd decks. As the majority of the single target removals are even, mage for example has not a single odd removal.
So this could become a replacement for those removals if a the odd archetype gets no better support and someone want to try a control/midrange odd Deck.
You're doing God's work.
So imbalanced... Recommend to craft both till it will be fixed. For example for Mages, it's really like assassinate on minions that Can't be targeted by hero power or hero abilities:(
So you destroy whatever for 5 mana, what's unbalanced?
How many "can't be targeted" cards that you'd want to Assassinate currently see play? For that matter how many rogue decks even run Assassinate? As I recall even before Vilespine Slayer people only rarely ran it, generally opting for Sap instead if they want a card to remove big minions.
Also it's worth mentioning that this 'version' of Assassinate costs mage their hero power for the turn meaning they can't also ping a smaller enemy down. A fairly small drawback but certainly worth noting.
Synergies, that comes in mind
1) Warrior - Animated Berserker, DK Garrosh, Innerfire, Charge, any whirlwind, Cruel Taskmaster, Brawl.
2) Warlock - Mortal Coil, Dark Pact, Sanguine Reveler, Defile.
3) Shaman - No good synergies.
4) Rogue - Backstab, Sonya, Cheat death, Plague Scientist (If opponent let him live 1 turn), Spellstone, Roll the Bones.
5) Priest - Spirit Lash, Dk Anduin, Quest.
6) Paladin - Getaway Kodo.
7) Mage - Hero Power, Dk Jaina, any freeze effect.
8) Hunter - On the Hunt, Arcane shot.
9) Druid - Moonfire.
10) Neutral - Scorp-o-matic, Wild Pyro, Umbra, Ticking Abomination (lol), Abomination (loool), Cube.
So, the best use of this card can be found in Warrior, Mage and Cubelock. Maybe in Druid for hard removal or Deathrattle rogue, if it would be a thing.
8)Hunter- Play Dead
9)Druid- Wrath, Spellstone
Inner fire warrior?
I'd add that this has nice synergy with the new Hunter legendary as well. A bit pricey, but still, removal is removal, and sometimes it's gonna be pricey .
Cool card, tons of potential for a variety of classes. Neutral, epic removal.
Also, druid has wrath and spellstone
Inner Rage*
Yes sure, forgot about Wrath for card draw. But spellstone is so important for druid, that I think it's expensive combo.
With Wrath it is a really good combo.
And Playdead, sure. Thank you.
Mistakes were made.

Pretty nice but still looking forward to some neutral targettable "transform" that can stop manacheating and resurrection decks from dominating the ladder.
