I think it is becoming more clear and clear, that switch is actually a minus for the cards coming out. Because they can block you from playing the card you want to play. It is not like many of the cards have multiple uses, because it is often clear, that one of the sides are good and the other side is quite bad. Like the rush 3/8 is pretty good, but turning it around to 8/3 is very rarely gonna be good, since it can easily be removed.
I think we are gonna see very little to switch cards outside the 1 or 2 broken pushed cards.
It's situational. For this card specifically though I would say 8/3 is much better. At 8 mana you are likely trading into bigger minions and need something that can kill those bigger minions. 3/8 rush WOULD be good against perhaps aggressive minions but at 8 mana you'll never get this out in time against that sort of deck.
I'd argue the 8/3 is much better than the 3/8. Deal 3 and summon a worse Ancient of Blossoms seems meh for 8. Deal 8 and summon an 8/3 for 8 on the other hand seems at least good, and in arena it's OP.
What the hell? Were is mage cards?
I was SURE this time its mage stuff.
Pretty sure one of the legendaries will be shown April 4th, the one called Toki. There may be some new archetype they wanna show, so they want to release them in bulk.
I wasn't sure about lady in white and I'm still not, but these make it a better option for sure.
Swap is the new meta, lady stark will get nerfed asap
Spellshifter is awful, but Swift Messenger and Gilnean Royal Guard(deal 8 and summon an 8/3? wow) seem reaaally good.
A second 8/3 was summoned because there was an Ixlid, Fungal Lord on the board.
Great with lady in white
people should stop with Lady in White, the card is bad, also how does LiW help this 3 cards??? when the atk/health swap every turn... smh
IN. YOUR. HAND
The stats only swap when the card is in your hand. Once it's played it the stats are set.
Wonderful arts.
I hope these cards will be played.
I'm still skeptical on how these type of cards will work in standard.
Is it just me, or are you excited to at least see the art for when it switches back and forth? All of these seem like decent arena cards. Stormwind Knight and Dalaran Mage effective powercreeps. And before someone makes the comment about rush being different than charge, I would argue that Stormwind Knight's 2 face damage in very, very specific situations is basically negligible. It was built for trading, which Swift Messenger does far more effectively.
Like these much more than the previously leaked worgens.. The Swift Messenger actually seems kind of flexible, not necessarily constructed viable, but it could be... sometimes a guaranteed 1 for X against small dudes... sometimes removal for bigger targets..
I really like the rush mechanic, pushes a more interactive board control game, and I hope cards like this will be viable.. Always good to mix up the deck archetypes and playstyles... The rush cards revealed so far seems like they depend on the raw stats of the minions in the meta decks, making them trade favourably or not... tempotempo... think the messenger adds some juice to that, but might just be too weak...
Swift Messenger is pretty decent actually. It's one stat point away from vanilla stats, but Rush is worth a lot. The 2/6 mode is decent against aggro decks, and the 6/2 mode is decent removal. It's not constructed quality by itself, but I could see it be included if your deck needs a certain threshold of Rush cards to be good. What if hypothetically there was a card that converted the "werewolf" mechanic into a choose effect, then it would certainly be a valid card to run. It's also good with Lady in White.
The other two are garbage.
