Hey guys remember when I said this card was crap? Oh now everyone sees that it’s crap and way too easy to play around? Yup. That’s all.
It'd be good (if cancerous) card design at playing four cards. That's at least allow the opponent to avoid triggering it, at the cost of playing against every hunter opponent as though they've never played their own deck before, let alone heard Hearthstone has modes other than arena.
In case you're not understanding why this card is overpowered (Haven't read any other reviews yet), the problem is that the player playing against it can't interact with it from hand. With Cat Trick all you have to do is play a spell before your boardclear. Not always available, but then you're just contending with a 4/2. With this, you need to play three cards before you boardclear, but oh, wait, it's a 6/6 that can't be bundled in with that boardclear, so you're looking at a 2 mana 6/6 that can't be removed from hand without playing three other cards on the same turn. Even if the receiving player is *capable* of playing three cards before 6/6 removal, which is extremely rare, they're being forced to spend their entire turn (Considering they'll acquire some low amount of value and tempo from the three preceding cards, also considering they'll usually be sacrificing the intended purpose, usage and value of said cards.) just to remove your dormant 2 drop that you have synergy with.
Of course, as with non-OTK toggwaggle decks, wherein you might win if the opponent switches back, but they won't, so you lose, we need to consider if the card completely fails if the opponent doesn't waste their turn and their cards removing your shit. The problem is, as I've already alluded to, and as you're already aware, the opponent wants and needs to fruitlessly concede the game trying to deal with your two drop, or else try to win playing at most two cards per turn, because if they don't you get a 6/6 charge beast without any impact on your curve besides the loss of your second turn, and that's almost always an instant win for any hunter deck. I'm not saying "always and instant win for any hunter deck", and specifying "almost", as for hyper-control hunter, beast hunter, and spell hunter (Which this two mana 6/6 works in, impressively.) your opponent might be able to pull some godlike RNG and get a win, though I can't imagine how.
This feels more like it should be a community-made legendary secret. And instead of a rat it'd be Sendrafar, Legendary 6/6 of Ultimate Dreams (The Almighty and Unscrupuloused). That or just 2 mana "Secret: After you opponent plays three cards in a game, win the aforementioned.", which is more truthful anyway.
Definitely for the best.
2mana 6-6? Whats next? 4mana 7-7? :P
(obviously a joke, this card sux)
"This card sux". We'll see you back here in a month or 2.
so, if you catch the rat it fights for you....
MAKES PERFECT FUCKING SENSE!
:D
Nah, the Rat IS the trap. ;)
Dat coin nerf.
This card at its worst is 2 Mana 6/6 ,
That's still annoying as hell to spend ur siphon, fireball etc for this
So it is an insane card if triggered early but still okay for late game (control or combo deck)
You can even force control to trigger this , Hunter minnions sometime are so hard to remove you need to use 3 cards with coin or prep etc
Like , how many Hunter 2 drop can have still decent value at late game?
At worst it is 2 mana do nothing and get a 6/6 in 6-10 turns (if at all)
I think this fits right in with tempo/face hunter with the spellstone and secret package. Often you will be applying enough pressure that one or two cards simply won't be enough to deal with your board state.
I think this will be a rather strong card, especially against non-control decks.
i agree with the community on this one, annoying to play around if it enters the meta
GG agro)))
Most decks can play 3 cards around turn 5 or 6. So a 6/6 appear at that time can be handled next turn. But an early combo turn with coin will make this rat a doombringer. I think it has the same effect as Cat Trick, which can do something (terrible) in a turn and die next turn, force opponents to waste their resources. Good replacement for Cat Trick.
Nice secret!
I can't find this card in the reveal schedule. Although the news item is dated April 2nd, I'm still a bit paranoid about cards that are unverified.
Edit: Never mind, the card is on the official site.
Card was revealed by IGN Brazil. IGN is pretty reputable!
now that's some insane value
I love this card too. Just the threat of it will affect the way you play against hunter with an active secret for two years, and forever in Wild.
Not OP but game changer? Perfect!
