God help us if Priest pulls this from Bone Drake
please, no.
The problem with the card is obvious. You're passing your turn. 10 mana, don't affect the board. Cards like that don't usually do well.
Now, turn 11 is going to be insane (assuming we're constructing a deck to take advantage of this effect) with 15+ face damage easily, or just a massive board. Of course, all the opponent has to do is drop a taunt.
What /might/ make it work in hunter is that generally it puts a lot of pressure and tempo on the opponent early on, such that it can afford to lose tempo for a turn. But if you're 15 damage from lethal on turn 10, you're better off just keeping the pressure on.
Tough to say. Seems like a win-more card. Win-more cards on 10 mana generally suck. But hey, it's a cool card, like the effect. Part of me is secretly hoping it doesn't see play, though.
Massive board on turn 11? Hunter is notorious for poor draw, unless you're skipping turns on your way there (and are probably already dead) or have a couple Zombeasts sitting in your hand, you'll have nothing to put down on turn 11 except the card you draw AFTER this battlecry triggers.
Well then, spell hunter can really utilize this card then!
Don Han'Cho was barely played i dont see how this will be played....it looks interesting, the combo with King Krush is going to be so much fun though!
Really hope a variant of control/midrange Hunter can come about....all about survivability!
Dustwood comfirmed, guys?
I fell in love with the art, and the fact that is an emerald drake with the hunter border color helps alot, if it is good or not we will see but i don't have high hopes, i mean it can be fun for an otk King Krush deck.
I think the real beneficiary of this card is Priest with Mind Vision/Thoughtsteal, putting this card in your Hunter deck would be suicidal.
Unless hunter gets several new cards that will support Emeriss than this is completely useless. Hunter rarely gets beyond turn 10 and if he does he has empty hand by then.
Yeah it's not like they have a bonkers hero card that can fill their hand with big minions with crazy effects or anything
'Fill' is an incredibly generous choice of words, the amount of mana, turns and tempo you would need to waste just to set up a bunch of build-a-beasts getting doubled is laughable
The average originality level of the Witchwood's legendaries revealed until now is so low that makes me feel that this card is actually interesting.
Which cards are unoriginal? Seems like all new stuff to me.
Lord Godfrey and Rebuke, for example. And maybe making an exception for Baku the Mooneater and Genn Greymane, that are technically going to define a new archetype, the effects of the other legendaries are pretty boring to me. Would you really think that Darius Crowley's effect is worth to be written on a legendary card?
The first must craft card for me.
Even if this doesn't fit any decent decks, I'm glad that blizzard made this card. I love it.
I don't get problem. This let go face harder!
