Once the event is on, its pretty obvious : main menu is ornamented, inkeeper's message is explicit and tells you about the event, and your quest board gets a pack icon behind the quest itself ; can't miss it, unless it isn't already on in your timezone.

 You need to be careful about time zones... it is not midnight local time, it is midnight server time. You need to know what those are....

 for future reference, in Hearthstone "the day" starts at exactly the time you get a new quest.

it seems like everybody's 2nd pack was a Witchwood pack so I assume we will all get the same amount of witchwood packs if we do all of our quests

Datamining had suggested 4 of the packs would be Witchwood packs which were quests 3, 7, 10, and 16. With people stating they got it on the second though, the pool could just be RNG or offset possibly.

Just complete all the dailies you can honestly. Free packs are awesome and it doesn't take too long to finish.

my first pack in the europa server was an Classic Pack, Why?

You did not pray hard enough to RNGsus

Go read the original announcement before asking nonsense

"To ring in the coming Hearthstone Year, we’re throwing a New Year of the Raven party! Every time you complete a daily quest*, you’ll also be awarded a card pack. These packs can be from Journey to Un’Goro, Knights of the Frozen Throne, Kobolds & Catacombs, or even The Witchwood! You can tear open The Witchwood card packs after the expansion goes live in April."

The original announcement clearly does not say that they will give classic packs, go read the original announcement before answer nonsense

I got both the Spectator and Splunker quests. BRING ME THE PACKS!

Can anyone confirm this? I'm mostly playing with friends and doing quests with them. Is it safe to do quests with them now?

Blizzard announced that it would be disabled at the same time they announced the event.

During the event the 80g quest is disable so maybe if you have it and the event started the 80g quest don't give pack.

Ok, but are we getting packs for other quests done with friends?

I did the 80g quest with a friend today and we both recieved a pack for it. Disabled just means you can't get it now, if you already had the quest in your log when the event started, you can do it.

I can confirm, just did the guest and received 80g plus one pack.

I'm a HUGE fan of this event!

Really happy that it's per-quest, so you aren't missing out if you can't get on and play every day.
