Curse of Naxxramas - Leaked Photos
We've been asked to remove unreleased details on the Naxxramas adventure, we're sorry, but the contents of this post have been removed for the time being. We're looking forward to the release of Naxxramas just as much as you!
If you're looking for up to date information on Naxxramas, head on over to our Guide to Naxxramas.
Karazhan, pls.
Then it would be a battlecry, to force a 1 time only proc.
It's possible there's a valid reason for the camera shots, like authenticity or not their iPad, but it bothers me they didn't just take screenshots.
Just a reminder, everyone would be using the "Blizzard drafted" deck to fight those Nax heros. So yeah, no sexy combos and you can expected an averagely drafted arena mage deck. Such funzy!
Actually, only the class challenges would have pre-made decks.
Nice. Then miracle rogue/zoo should deal with most of the bosses. Imagine Patchwerk against zoo, 4 mana killing argent squire.
Oh wow, i cannot wait for this... looks like alot of fun
I wonder what happens if you play force of nature when kel'thuzad is out. Do the treants come back to life and die again?
It says, 'At the end of your turn", so you cannot exploit this mechanic. Wait a minute... I see what you're saying. Kill off the treants and they live again. How clever.
That's...interesting.
I hope this isn't true, as Kel'Thuzad is too damn OP.
Kel'thuzad sounded ridiculously overpowered at first, but when I thought about it I realized that aggro decks are not going to want an 8-drop, and most control decks don't field enough minions at a time to get much benefit out of his ability. He'll be a monster in Arena mode, though.
Also, there's this interaction: Your opponent plays Kel'thuzad; you play Sylvanas and then Shadow Word Death or some equivalent (on Sylvanas); you control Kel'thuzad and Sylvanas comes back to life; your opponent is sad.
On another note, the Patchwerk fight is probably the most excited I've ever been about running Noble Sacrifice. (Heck, even Eye for an Eye is decent, as it's just one mana for five damage.)
it comes back
Might be true that he gets his weapon back, but Harrison Jones would still be a great play just for the card draw. Could potentially use Ooze + Harrison on any turn (Or split over 2 turns.) to draw 7 or 8 cards. Or innervate + coin + Harrison to draw 6 cards on turn 2.
Innervate + coin + Harrison would be pretty good, but since you would need both Innervate and Harrison in your opening hand, it would be pretty rare for this to happen. I don't think I'd bother running it.
Ooze + Harrison is just too late (your turn 7 = Patchwerk's turn 8 = 40 damage), so you're probably dead, or at least not likely to live long enough to play the cards you draw. Plus, after turn 4 Harrison dies to Patchwerk's hero ability without getting to do any damage. So all you're doing is drawing cards, without affecting the board or slowing Patchwerk's clock against you.
I don't think card draw is that big a concern in this fight -- you need to either win by turn 5, or stop Patchwerk from attacking until you can win. Zoo with lots of taunts and taunt-giver minions might work (Patchwerk can't pick them off with his hero ability until his turn 4); better is probably freeze mage (use one frost bolt or ice lance per turn instead of comboing them, since preventing 5 damage and stalling the game is more important than dealing 4; also run ice barrier and ice block); or aggro paladin (flood the board versus the hero power; hold him off with noble sacrifice and healing). I think the legendary you want most is Leeroy (as a finisher); beyond that maybe Mukla and Millhouse (as long as you can play them on curve so that you can get some hits in before they die to the hero power).
But you will get a pretty goodamn number of cards if used right.
I'll agree that waiting to play ooze and harrison on the same turn would be hard, but a turn 4 ooze -> turn 5 harrison would do great things for many decks, thats 7 card draw right when most aggro decks are starting to run dry.
Cards like Sunfury Protector and Earthen Ring Farseer should give almost any deck at least a few extra turns to live and make use of that kind of card draw.
All your card and deck suggestions seem very strong as well. But I actually think Harrison could fit many of those decks.
Patchwork breaks into the museum?
I'm at about 2k gold, though I'd like to know the real price of the entire expansion.
Thinking it'll either hit this Friday, or next Tuesday. Next Tuesday makes a little more sense, I guess, since that'd make the entire month of July, Curse month, because it'll be a wing a week and there are five Tuesdays within the month.
Edit: Or it hits this Friday, and finishes on July 25th, which would be five Fridays.
Would be great if defeting the boss granted some gold too (10-50g will be enough). This will motivate players to enter Nax more an more, even when all new cards will be opened.
