[Datamined] Patch 2.0.6 Class Changes & Strings, Josh: 'Ladders at E3... Confirmed', Blizzard Aiming For More Item-Based Builds
Skin Spotlight: Wrath Sonya
Warlords of Draenor - New Mage Spells, Orc Clan Armor Sets, Blue Tweets, Fan Art
Deck Spotlight: Mercenary Mind
The Priest Revolution is here! Today's deck comes from Hearthstone's Producer, Yong Woo (inspiration came from Zetalot), and is a mid-range Priest deck which has been having great success in climbing up the ladder. Mercenary Mind is the name and making your opponent cry is the game. Clocking in an an extremely affordable 3,080 Arcane Dust, the deck is very accessible to players of all types and the bulk of the crafting cost is attributed to Prophet Velen.
As far as the meta is concerned, Mercenary Mind is very strong against Zoolock, and is holding well up against Handlock, Divine Favor Paladin, and Unleash the Hounds Hunters. Check out the guide which covers some of the base combos of the deck and advice against previously stated matchups. If you want to get right to building the deck, the card list is available below.

What's special/funny about the last clip? The mage made the only play he could. If doesn't play the arcane missiles, he loses. Period. If he plays it, he has a (slim) chance to win. The only thing he could've done differently was to do the fireballs first to (slightly) increase the chance of a draw game, which he wouldn't have gotten anyways.
Like the deck, it's cool to see velen being used competitively, will for sure give it a shot, love the addition of azures btw.
You can find Zetalot's current deck here:

It's updated to June 08 and what he has been using today. He is currently Rank 38 legend.
Priests were ruined completely in 1.0.0.3890 when they changed Greater Heal to Holy Fire and removed Fade. (for those new to the game, Greater Heal was replaced by Holy FIre and used to be heal 2 for each card in your opponents hand for 2 mana, and Fade was replaced by Shadow Word Death and used to give a minion taunt and draw a card for 2 mana.)
If Priest still had those they would be competitive today.
So glad to see Priests being in the spotlight. Hopefully Naxx gives them some fuel to be a little bit more competitive.
I feel like the main problem with Priest in the current meta is that most Priest spells rely heavily on situational plays. A Priest needs to do more than just react to what others are doing in order to succeed. I'm working on a deck called "Meta Momentum" that is heavily minion-based, and built very similar to Warlock Zoo in that it goes for early board control, but with slightly higher average minion cost to makeup for the lack of card draw. Viva la Priest revolution!!
like! i will give it a try :)
