Possible Naxx Pricing Structure Leak
This information has not been officially announced by Blizzard. Also important to note that the information about the last wing also does not match previous information. The image is circulating Chinese sites. Please keep in mind none of this information is verified.
Update:
Quote from @ZeriyahWe haven't announced anything just yet regarding pricing for Naxx. Once we have details to share, we'll discuss them on official channels.
------
We understand that a lot of people are excited for the release of Curse of Naxxramas — we are too! However, we haven't announced anything just yet regarding pricing for the upcoming Adventure. Once we have further details to share, including pricing, we'll let everyone know via our official channels.
A wild slide has appeared! A number of websites in China have picked up an image of a slide which contains the pricing information for the upcoming Hearthstone adventure, the Curse of Naxxramas.
According to the image, all of Naxxramas will cost 5,000 Gold, or $90 USD (¥558). The image also states that wing prices will decrease by 100 gold by completing objectives in a previous wing. See below for a wing price breakdown.
Wing | Bosses | New Cards | Gold Price | USD Price | Yuan Price |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Arachnid Quarter | 3 | 4 | Free | Free | Free |
Plague Quarter | 3 | 4 | 500 | $9 | ¥55.8 |
Contruct Quarter | 4 | 6 | 1,000 | $18 | ¥111.6 |
Military Quarter | 3 | 5 | 1,500 | $27 | ¥167.4 |
Frostwyrm Lair | 2 | 6 | 2,000 | $36 | ¥223.2 |
Naxxramas pricing seems much higher than the community feels it should be. What's your take on it?
Could you link me to the post?
As people have said before it's very unlikely blizz wouldn't make it more efficient to pay with $ instead of gold.
Ummm just a bit fucking high
good summary :)
That's the prices for Legion of the Crouching Dragon. ( That chinese hearthstone clone)
Even if that pricing structure is remotely close, it's still ridiculous pricing.
Even if you have been doing daily quests and skipping arena since the pax announcement, 5k gold is a ridiculous amount of gold in that game. Not everyone spends their entire day playing HS.
$90 for the expansion of a free "TCG"? I don't think so.
Well you can call that a dirty lie cus devs said that last wing opened for free once the previous 4 where completed.
Bluepost said that the last wing unlocks when you complete the other 4, as in you cannot play it unless you beat the other 4. Nowhere has any blue poster ever said anything remotely close to the last wing being free.

Just because you have to beat the 4 wings to "unlock" the last does not AUTOMATICALLY mean its free, could be unlocked to be purchased, do not make wild assumptions that have zero truth and just your own ignorant flawed conclusions,
Wow calm down we are all hearth-fans here. The way Blizzard commonly uses the term "unlocks" means it will be accessible without you doing anything more on your part ...as long as you complete the "unlocking" conditions that is. So basically, according to Blizzard way of doing things, unlock = free ...almost, as you still (can) pay for the other wings.
I'm not hearing a denial....
I have 2000 gold right now, have been saving since they announced Naxx, I dont think this is legit, I would say 4k gold for all the wings should be good or maybe like 30 bucks for all.....5 bucks per wing and 10 for the last is reasonable.
Calm down....
It's not real page. It's just some Photoshopped ad for one of the Chinese gold-farm studio.

I would think it would be $9 per wing. This slide is fake.
If that's how it works, then they took "pay to win" and turned it into "pay to play". I've literally not done a single Arena since the day they announced Adventure modes. Just done my dailies like clockwork, and I'm at 2,220 gold before today's daily. Even with a five week timetable, I'm looking at (based on averages) 3,970 gold before the earliest this is likely to be released...and that's not even enough to cover the whole thing?
They better hope to God that this isn't the way they go. All the people who feel highly screwed over by that is going to be in the vast multitudes..
The pricing makes sense if you get a discount for completing objectives. Players that can't beat a challenge actually pay extra to skip it and proceed to the next wing.
It did mention something of 100 gold reduction for objectives. Is this is a reduction "per" objective, that would make more sense. So you pay 500 gold per wing (seems fair) , and more if you can't manage to beat all objectives.
whow, big numbers... i don't think/hope this is the way...
It would be nice, if the naxx-progress bases on skill...
June 21 release at the earliest. Summer. You still have time.
5K is way too much i thought it will be 3k max and they still not said how you will get golden version of new cards. I'm sure that you will need to extra pay for these so the $90 for golden cards is possible price. But if the prices are real blizzard screwd people because you wont be able to save from now 5k gold in 5 weeks unless you are arena freak who get 10+ wins all the time.
$90 to unlock a singleplayer campaign? That's completely ridiculous. That would be nearly 80 card packs (400 cards) in the shop versus unlocking 25 new cards in the campaign.
No way that could be right. I was expecting maybe 500~1000 gold a wing or $20-25 for the entire adventure.
