Hearthside Chat: Echo w/ Peter Whalen - Two New Witchwood Cards Revealed
Peter Whalen has revealed two new Echo cards in a new Hearthside Chat video which goes over the new Echo mechanic.
Echo cards return a copy of themselves to your hand on the same turn they’re played, so if you have the mana required, you can play them again and again!

well who needs initiative in control warrior, nobody, expecially not with a strong board clear in your deck like this, on top of it helping your own minions sometimes
Ugh ... another "random legendary" card. More freaking RNG :-(
These cards are either good, great, or horrible. Unfortunately, "Discover a Legendary Card" would be too OP, but getting Nat Pagle, or Millhouse Manastorm doesn't do you a bit of good.
What are you talking about? I can fish all day!
Valeera DK hero power + Face Collector = Wombo Combo broken af blizz pls nerf
I think Warpath is a good card because it allows you to play Skulking Geist without sacrificing Whirlwind, and even-cost CW might not be a bad thing, with the DK and Blood Razor
equally annoying as DEFILE
Sounds like a aggro player
Who's waiting for the Fireside Chat: Rush video? not sure if they'll do it or when but it would keep with their current theme of having 1 vidieo per new keyword/mechanic.
So they made an even-cost Whirlwind for the tech Genn Greymane lose. It makes Warpath A card like a power creep(i mean power spell (?) ).
For the ones Who say "won't they support their New mechanic", It is an obvious support for even-odd decks.
That is nice to see some aoe for even cıst warrior since it can't use Brawl and Whirlwind But I wonder A different thing that will we see other power cards which is same card with A little different mechanic for supporting even/odd decks? If it is like that,we won't see new things, I presume.
Good remark actually, warpath is not that good by itself coz wirlwind and sleep with the fishes and that 4-mana weapon, but in even-deck this will be one of the core anti-aggro and damage-your-minion card. Of course if that archetype will be playable
Just realized sleep and weapon are also even. So its not THAT great even for even (lul) decks. Well, it still can be useful in swarm meta like dude paladin. Will see play, its weak, but flexible, that's means a lot in hs
Sleep will be wild only though. Warrior need a replacement aoe in standard...
I don't get how it's power creep at all (which refers to how the power is creeping ever higher, and minions aren't even referred to as 'creeps' in Heathstone anyway).
Warpath costs twice as much as Whirlwind, so unless you cast it multiple times it's so much worse. And even then, twice makes it a worse Volcanic Potion, so it's not at a higher level than any other card either. It's versatile, but it isn't outright better than whirlwind.
This is a card showing off the Echo mechanic, in this case an AoE mirrored removal spell with the downside of having terrible mana efficiency. I personally don't see it as pushing an even deck, but more as another control tool. It lets you clear a board of mid-sized minions with one card, albeit at a very high mana cost.
