Portals are tearing open everywhere! What lies beyond is something strange, yet familiar... Choose a class to start with a few cards and then choose a Portal-type to fill the rest of your deck.
Trivia
- This is a brand new brawl!
- The brawl celebrates the 20th anniversary of StarCraft.
- The three portal cards represent the three races of StarCraft - Terran, Protoss, and Zerg.
- Your reward for this brawl is 3 Kobolds and Catacombs card packs.
How it Works
- Choose your hero and receive a 10 card deck.
- Choose one of three portals at the start of the game to fill your deck with 20 additional cards.
- The portal cards added to your deck each have different cards they can add to your hand and reduce their cost by 3 mana.
Terran - Tech
Mechs! Guns! Explosions! This portal brings victory via technology!
- Choosing Tech Portals adds 20 Tech Portal to your deck.
- Expect to see lots of cards from Goblins vs Gnomes and anything that could be seen as mechanical, explodey, and guns.
- Example Minions: Iron Juggernaut, Mekgineer Thermaplugg, Don Han'Cho, Goblin Auto-Barber, Tinkmaster Overspark, Harvest Golem, Goblin Blastmage.
- Example Spells: Volcano, Lock and Load.
- Example Weapons: Glaivezooka.
Protoss - Mind
If it is psychic power you seek, find it by ascending through this portal.
- Choosing Mind Portals adds 20 Mind Portal to your deck.
- Expect to see N'raqi or "Faceless" cards. Cards which are more magical in nature.
- Example Minions: The Darkness, Shaku, the Collector, Archmage Antonidas, Stormwatcher, Faceless Shambler, Mindbreaker, Temporus, Mirage Caller.
- Example Spells: Unstable Portal, Healing Rain, Primordial Glyph, Shadow Strike.
Zerg - Swarm
If it stalks, oozes toxic sludge, or has jagged spines, it might slither from beyond this portal.
- Choosing Swarm Portals adds 20 Swarm Portal to your deck.
- Expect to see cards which are more organic in nature. Lots of cards from Journey to Un'Goro and Whispers of the Old Gods are present here.
- Example Minions: Sherazin, Corpse Flower, Fal'dorei Strider, Ultrasaur, Hadronox, Corrupted Healbot.
- Example Spells: Adaptation, Power Word: Tentacles, Potion of Madness.

Posted Mar 21, 2018 (Patches Nerf)Starcraft is one of their only "Pay" games. Which is what I liked about it. I have to say they have been slowly trying to kill the game it seems. I have played the Starcraft since it was "Orcs in Space" on a floppy disk. But they try to push too much stuff and mess the balance all up. Seeing them, throw this "Anniversary" together only matches the lackluster way they have been treating the game itself over the last few years. It seems that Overwatch is the new baby, I have no idea why that game is so popular. But they couldn't even skin a few cards or release a new card back. It's sad, but I do like Hearthstone and its where I spend most of my time now.
