Not really... This is the first tournament with that small class & archetypes diversity...

Tournament meta and ladder meta are not the same thing. A deck can do well in a tournament because people don't expect you to use it and the amount of games needed to win aren't as strenuous as what you need to reach when on the actual ladder.

geist is not only useful vs druid. it ruins combo dragon priest and could be the edge in other matchups like vs control warlock

Yea but combo dragon priest run also crazy alchemist and for only dark pact isn t worth adding a 6 mana 4/6

FWIW - the winningest class over the past two HCT stops has been Hunter. It's also worth admitting that the tournament meta-game and ladder meta-game aren't strictly comparable. According to HSReplays, seven of nine classes currently have at least one deck with a win-rate above 50%. Rogue has one at 49%, while Pirate Warrior is at 48%. IRL card games, like MtG, regularly go through periods where one or more "colours" (or their functional equivalent) simply aren't competitive - sometimes for years on end, despite the best efforts of designers. HS has nine classes to balance, whereas MtG has only five colours - so HS will always produce lots of ammunition for folks who enjoy blithely ridiculing their efforts. After all, there are folks who complain that having unplayable champions in a game like LoL (with well over one hundred different "colours") is evidence of designer stupidity, laziness, greediness, etc . . .

All things considered, it seems perfectly fair to say that the meta-game for the past year has been the flattest, widest and most diverse (i.e. "the best"), by far, since the game launched.

HCT tournaments feature lineups that are designed to give very good players the optimal chances of winning. The decks do not define “viable”. There are a multitude of legend viable decks. Of course this assumes that you stopped hating the game and took the time to learn to play well.

Why would you not count warrior other than to have a negative outlook on things? Heck, I'd throw in hunter as well considering Odemian won HCT Toronto with it. Hunterace was right behind him using Jade Druid. There are plenty of viable decks, they just have polarizing match ups so you bring what you think is going to be best against the popular line ups.
