Maybe in wild... but they are both in Karazhan and rotating out.
I suppose... Mage got Raven Familiar and Paladin got Lightfused Stegodon last year, so maybe beasts won't be a theme. Would be fun to switch it up from only the "nature" classes getting beast synergy though.
I hope they print some neutral card that interact with opposite odd/even card in your deck, like 3 or 5 mana draw 1 even cost card from your deck.
I'm still not sold right now.
... Why would they do that? It's the complete opposite design they're going for, which is placing a constraint on your deck by only allowing you to run half the available card pool.
What? Why would you want to put odd cards in an even deck or vice versa? It would ruin the synergy, which is the point of making them in the first place.
Because you need that Baku or Greymane which is legendary to make that deck in full potential. If you dont have that legendary then the those card is just a bummer.
Imagine you are f2p and you never open those legendary, the odd/even synergistics cards will be sitting there in your collection.
However, we still haven't see the whole set yet so, yeah.
Well I know what the other Odd card is check here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=foP99i6iEso
Turn 7: "Better play this goldshire footman...Drat! That upgraded druid hero power traded perfectly into my turn 7 minion.
I hate that cat already.
I hate the idea of these odd/even restricted cards. While imposing certain limits can help bring about really creative creations, there comes a point when the limitations are too restricting and has the opposite effect, actually obstructing creativity. I feel that these cards embody the very essence of the latter.
Why do you feel that way? They're a lot like highlander decks - both styles cut your available card pool roughly in half - and highlander decks certainly didn't obstruct creativity.
Personally I think this will be better for the game simply because of consistency. The reward for this build-around is less powerful than Reno, but you no longer have to worry about drawing the powerhouse card, and the deck can run multiple copies of its "I want/need to draw this" cards which is important in a card game. I'm often very frustrated playing a reno deck simply because of how draw-dependent the game plan is. Not only do the odd/even decks not rely on draws, they don't even support "curving out."
Don't play them then. there probably won't be heaps of odd/even synergy cards anyway.
Quick question: What are 0 mana cards considered?
