Celebrating 20 Years of StarCraft - Upcoming Tavern Brawl to Reward 3 Kobolds Packs
All of Blizzard's titles are celebrating the 20th anniversary of the StarCraft franchise throughout the month by giving away goodies.
Hearthstone is included in the celebration through a special Tavern Brawl though unlike the Diablo 20th Anniversary Brawl that we saw last year, there will not be a card back reward and instead, players who participate will receive 3 Kobolds card packs. The Tavern Brawl will run near the end of the month from March 21 until March 25.
Do you have any idea what the brawl could be?
Other Goodies
All of Blizzard's games will be getting something for the anniversary. Here's the breakdown!
- Brood War - 20th Anniversary UI Skin for Remastered.
- StarCraft II - 20th Anniversary UI Skins, Portraits, and Decal.
- Diablo III - Battlecruiser Pet.
- Overwatch - Widowmaker Skin ft. Sarah Kerrigan as the Ghost.
- World of Warcraft - Salute to StarCraft Feat of Strength if you /salute an in-game StarCraft pet.
- Heroes of the Storm - 20th Anniversary StarCraft portraits.
142 brawls so far. 63 of them were repeted/re-hashed which means there's 79 unique brawls. So, on average, it takes less than two (1.79) weeks to get a brand new brawl.
That's pretty good for a side mode that most players dont even play that much, I donno why are you bitching about it.
60% of Hearthstone players will bitch about anything...EVEN FREE PACKS. Who in the right mind complains about free packs??!!
yup, just keep towing the company line, fanbois
yet another shitty repeated brawl this week.
what's your excuse for this one? nevermind - i don't want to hear it.
also, you're wrong. there have been 73 repeats of tavern brawls and only 69 unique ones.
that means repeats over half the time... considering each week should be a brand new experience - that's a success rate of 49%. in schools, they call that an F - for FAILED...
There could be a Zerg character to be beaten in the same way as Nefarian was. I did really like that Brawl.
Why Zerg character? Just because they're different doesn't mean they should be beaten on every occasion.
Zerg lives matter!
'Cause they're numerous, disposable.. and oh yeah, they seem to have a penchant for corrupting, twisting and infesting human DNA.
Zerg lives can matter when they stop turning people into horrendous, monstrous versions of their former selves.
... says the former Zerg player from his SC heyday.
My only real hope is that this will be one you can challenge friends with. My wife doesn't really have any cards to speak of, so this week's tavern brawl didn't allow for us to play together.
YAY ! Three more free packs ! thx@blizzard !
Hoping for 3 heroes, each representing different races, with customized decks reflecting their respective races' strengths (maybe Zealots with Charge + Divine shield ala Argent Commander, Roaches with full health restore at the end of the turn, and 15 damage Nuke spells that can only be played with a Ghost on the board).
Great!
This still doesn't make up for the fact they canceled the whole Year of the Raven because of how embarrassed Blizzard was for making ranked unplayable when implementing an insignificant change that they have been working on for at least 2 years to their ranked system which any indie company could have done within a week without crippling their entire game.
Who the fuck said they canceld the whole Year of the Raven? They just canceld the Q&A Stream.
Any news on twitch prime loot for March? Very curious
hey look at that, blizzard acctually made something for diablo, at least they remember the game
laughing here but crying on the inside :(
I think packs Are a lot better than card backs, I know a lot of people will disagree and I will get dsownvotes from them but I think that card backs are stupid, I only see half of mine every game, I never go to my card back collection, and I could not care less about what back my opponent has. It just does not do anything to change the game. But I suppose if you have all/most of the cards than gathering card backs is the only thing you have left to collect.
I'm f2p so I totally understand only wanting content and not some shiny bells and whistles, but I like those bells and whistles and I like having a little variation with cool looking card backs and at this point I have most of what I need from kobolds, but to each their own :)
