Blizzard Confirms Ranked Play Issue - Ladder Temp Disabled in Regions with New Season
Keganbe has confirmed there is an issue with the new ranked season that is currently active in the Asia and Europe realms where stars aren't working as intended. Ranked play has been temporarily disabled in these regions while they investigate.

The fix we are preparing will stop the season roll issues from happening to more people. We are still working out if we will be able to correct those who have already gone through the season roll process.

We have implemented a hotfix which should resolve the issues we were seeing with Ranked Play. With this fix in place, we are now working on addressing the accounts of players affected. Once that is completed, we will be able to bring Ranked Play back online.

To properly assess the scope of the issue, we had to temporarily disable Ranked Play while we worked on the hotfix. As part of the restoration process, some accounts may have received additional stars.

yesterday i got rank 10 with 1 star
today when i log in to hearthstone my rank become 8 with 1 star
is it because the rank issue or what ,will i get back to 10 or i will keep this rank .
Edit : i am now rank 9 with 1 star.

Posted Mar 2, 2018 (Patches Nerf)This is pretty pathetic. I have played Blizzard games for well over a decade, and I don't recall a technical issue that every went 24 hours. From closed beta through Mists of Pandaria, with server maintenance every single week, the wosrt may have lasted 8 extra hours.
Definitely not a good way to kick off a new season and a new game year, Blizz.

They have the root cause, they said so. This means they know how long it will take to fix, yet they don't say when. Why would they not say unless uncertainty is more palatable than the sad truth?

Posted Mar 1, 2018 (Patches Nerf)You NEVER give deadlines if you're smart. If you miss the deadline, it's worse then the initial outrage. People start to plan their day around it.
See when Battle.net goes under maintenance every once in a while. They say the service will be down for 4 hours and it usually isn't down for more than a couple. World of Warcraft maintenance periods were the example of how not to handle maintenance. There were so many issues that plagued early maintenance, everyone eventually stopped relying on the timeframe they initially gave.
Also, no, just because you know what the issue is doesn't mean you know exactly how long it will take to fix. Weird stuff can pop up and more importantly, it's likely going to need to be tested a few times to ensure stability.
