MIDAS!
y'know what Spelleater Mage is pretty cool and I wish there was some more counterspell in the game.
My vote's on Midas.
These designs bring a smile to my face, wish they were incorporated into the game!
Damn, Midas's author is a genius! Voted for him
Do you mind explaining why? I think it's one of the most broken cards we've ever had in a WCDC. Obviously the flavour is fantastic, but that effect would be insane on a 10-cost minion, never mind a 5-cost.
I'm assuming the hype comes from the actual mythological lore, but I have to agree with you, ShadowsOfSense, - even if the flavor is indeed great - those stats are simply broken ... as many user seems to overlook such important aspect of card design, and as we routinely do great at judging cards expansion *cough*, I'm not surprised of its popularity. ^^
I don't see how it's broken, it's basically a worse Voodoo Hexxer most of the time since it has no taunt. Especially since there is so much silence about it seems very weak atm.
Has everyone forgotten about Maexxna? This card costs one less mana but has one less attack and the effect is also weaker most of the time. Maexxna never saw play, this probably wouldn't either, at least not in competitive scene.
Who balanced that card? (I have to admit that 5 mana seems preeety OP and destroy aggro decks). Maybe 8 mana?
