Hearthstone Update for February Contains New Events, Possible Balance Changes
A new patch has been confirmed for next month which at the very least will contain some new "cool" events Ben Brode has confirmed earlier today via Twitter.
- If the team decides to make balance changes, that is the earliest any will happen.
- We wonder if this will include the arena-only cards for future usage.
Is there anything specific you'd like to see changed in a possible balance update?
Quote from Ben BrodeBeen reading discussions about balance; we have an update coming next month which includes some cool events, and that is when any balance changes would happen. We'll be sure to announce any changes as the patch gets closer. See you at the HCT World Championship next week!
Thanks! :)
I think the suggestion another poster had in which Raza only effects your current hero power is good. than you need to decide do I play it on five to get the free healing or do I hold it till 9 to be able to spam hero power damage. That choice would reduce the power level of the deck but not make it unplayable.
YAAASSSSS I KNOW RIGHT!!!!
why on earth would you nerf raza? It is rotating out of standard soon anyways
I hate this attitude. Wild is apparently a garbage dump for all the broken interactions and un-balanced shit in the game so there's no need to ever nerf anything that's going to be oppressive there for the rest of the game's life
A couple pages in and I'm surprised to see nobody mentioning Psychic Scream or Call to Arms. Really don't get all the complaining about doomguards either.
Unless, we believe Blizzard cares about wild balance, i don't see these possible nerfs targeting cards that are rotating soon or classic cards more likely to be HoF.
Dragonfire is rotating out and Priest will soon run out of good aoes, the scream was printed because of that
High cost powerful spells aren't as problematic as cheap cards.
Call to arms is borderline broken but paladin wasn't good before exept for murlocs , and will lose some of his Murloc synergy soon.
I’m calling it now corridor creeper to friendly minions only (enemy would be better but I don’t think blizz would do that)
in in terms of Hall of Fame for next expansion, I think only ice block and leeroy can be truly justified
I will be so happy if Leeroy gets HoFed. I know it's probably balanced and stuff, but it is one of the most annoying cards in the game for me. Especially when it's topdecked for lethal right after you've stabilized on board against aggro.
Blizzard doesn't want to make changes in the text because honestly who reads a card again and again? You read it one time and then when you play the game, you just see the art and mana cost and play it. You already know the effect. Moreover, the change you are suggesting is so subtle(adding just a word friendly to the text) that people who just skip through the balance changes would not even realize that the card has been nerfed, leading to a frustrating loss.
So, Blizzard likes to change the stats/mana cost of the card to nerf them.
My guess is that Corridor Creeper will now cost 8 or maybe, it will be a 5/3. The Mana cost change is highly likely because you can see the Mana Cost clearly.
Ice block needs to be removed from the game.Hall of fame doesnt do it justice.
I think it could go 1 base mana up.
Force of nature
Murloc Warleader
Undertaker
Ancient of lore
Warsong Commander
Arcane Golem
Dreadsteed
It happened in the past, if that's the most optimal solution for them they'll change the text.
you guys will keep talking and then they will nerf something you were never complain about it XD
Remove Bonemare from the game and I will be happy :D
Here are your HoF cards boiiiiiis:
Ice Block
Gadgetzan Auctioneer
Shadowstep
Honorable Mention: Leroy Jenkins
And in that order.
Blizzard please don't nerf/HoF Doomguard. He's the Warlock equivalent of Fiery War Axe. The class with die miserably if you do that.
Love how people want to nerf Doomguard so much, making vanilla/basic HS sets even more worthless, when it is the new card(s) that cause any problems said players may complain about.
When looking at scenarios where Doomguard is not summoned by the warlock weapon Doomguard is appropriately balanced, all things considered.
