A Collection of Five Fantastic Hearthstone Pro Decks - January 8, 2018
We've got five decks from Hearthstone's pros that are performing well in the meta and can be found at the top of the ladder. If you're looking for something new to give a shot, try one of these five decks! If you haven't yet crafted yourself some Corridor Creepers, Monsanto's Aggro Druid doesn't make use of them as he says it never helped him out if his minions all died.
If you're heading on up to Legend, keep us posted in our Headed to Legend threads so we can follow your journey and share tips with each other.

rip spell hunter 2017-2017
4 out of 5 fantastic at ~10K dust! Give the Blizzard sales guy a fantastic bonus this year please!
Bro, most of those decks are collection of two expansion cards. Highlander priest and Tempo Rogue are barely changed. If you can't collect 10k dust for two expansions then you are just not playing hearthstone at all.
My GF is playing HS for example and she never spent a dime on this game. She plays priest exclusively and she has all cards for her class for all expansions and she doesn't even finish off her daily quests most days. In fact she even has a spare 4k dust.
I don't see a reason to complain, yeah Cube Lock is an expensive deck, but you can climb the ladder with at least 5 other cheaper decks, I know I am.
Stop whining on forums, just play the game. You can easily grind gold on the arena, which is now more fun than ever. Sure you can always complain of the prices and packs but at the end of the day you don't need every single card to play competitively, or at all.
Hey pretty awesome that your GF hasn't spent money on this game and has all the cards for priest. Would you mind explaining how I could also go about doing this?
I have 3 favour classes but I could narrow it down to one. Especially considering your gf managed to do what she did.
Basically just can u give the tips your gf or yourself does to help build the collection and still be competitive on ladder if I'm f2p thanks
We are both basically playing since the beginning of HS, maybe the second month of competitive play. Nothing else special. Just play the game, do dailies and don't spend on things you don't really need. That is all there is to it.
Exactly!
While I agree that the new players may have a really tough time, it is also one of the reasons why Standard was introduced.
Old expansions are rotated and soon even more would have. So being a veteran now gives a very little expansion advantage than for example if you played wild.
All and all I see your point, and I didn't mean to insult anyone, however if you just play the game, get 50-60g per day+your daily and spend it on arena or just waiting and building essentials I think you can have 1-2 of the best meta decks. Of course there are always decks like cube warlocks that are a nightmare to craft, even I didn't do it :)
Yup, I agree that Standard does help and that new players do need to put in the time to grind the daily gold. People shouldn't be lazy about that (have to invest the time or money). Not saying it's already so problematic now but the trend is definitely alarming that new players that spend a decent amount of time to grind their dailies can no longer keep up with the increase card pool release rate (3x expansions per year instead of mix of expansions and adventures). I found a pretty nice article describing this here:

Thanks for the response~ Didn't mean to bite your head off ;)
I wonder if we will see the exact same decks until April from now on, would be sad, but seems realistic...
Whatever happened to spell hunter? I was savaged on the boards for predicting it would be garbage.
I think this hunter was never made to success, unless you have a ton of RNG on your side.
Basically it is the same deck that mage had some time ago with all the casino cards, you never know how the game is gonna go.
If you have 2 secrets and play the spellstone on turn 5 and get 4 wolves, maybe you have a chance.
To be fair I've lost 5-10 games to this deck and I wanted to crush my computer for my bad luck, other than that, you usually mop them :)
Aggro Paladin is missing as well, and it is much higher tier than Spell Hunter.
Yet both decks are perfectly fine for laddering.
Just not top tier in the pro ranks - which the article is about.
