I would be very happy if dragon mage finally came into it's own
Dragons have synergy when you hold them, so this card doesn't bring synergy with dragons truly.
I also would like to see some decent dragon mage but this card won't help it I guess.
Feels like there might be a "Big Spell Mage" (BSM) deck on the horizon here. With the ability to clear the board for 5 using the new Dragon's Furyspell and Dragoncaller Alannaas one potential finisher, it could be fun to make a control-ish Mage deck that relies on a number of 5+ cost spells. The real question in my mind to tinker with is whether or not it's worth including staple spells that cost less than 5 like Frostbolt, potentially weakening your board wipe in order to give you some more early game options. Even if you include Fireball, knowing that you'd be dealing 4 or more damage for only 5 mana is a pretty huge deal.
For some reason it feels like it'd fit into a Highlander/Kazakusstyle deck. Can't wait to brew up something new with this.

"BS Mage" KappaClaus
It seems like a missed opportunity to not name the deck Big Dragon Spell Mage (BDSM) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
It's not going to be hard to get a lot of 5/5's out of Dragoncaller Alanna - between Firelands Portal, Meteor, Blizzard, and the newly announced Dragon's Fury, she could easily work out as an effective 9 mana 28/28 of stats.
What i think is a little odd about Dragoncaller Alanna, however, is that typically when you're running a ton of big spells you're looking to use cards like Medivh, the Guardian for tempo going into the late game, and end up ending the game out with a few bigger minions and/or burn spells. With Alanna being so much slower than Medivh*, it's hard to say whether the tempo she gives you is going to be enough.
*I recognize that they're not radically different in cost, and that Alanna's tempo is immediate, but between the major difference in stats, and the fact that Medivh gives tempo as you play spells, whereas Alanna can only give you tempo the turn or so after, she's much slower.
Um, this is far faster than Medivh in almost any situation. If you play them on curve one average you get a 9 mana13/13 with this card (with something like a fireland's portal + blizzard played earlier). With Medivh you get a 8 mana 7/7 with additional value over multiple turns. Medivh is better for constant pressure, Alanna is much better as a tempo play since you get so many more minions to play with.
I may have been incorrect in saying that she's "much slower," but my point more broadly is that you have to spend your turns playing big spells before Dragoncaller Alanna can provide you tempo. I don't think you're likely to play her on curve - I think she's the card you play when your opponent has run out of threats and/or AOE*, and you're ready to go in for the kill; her vulnerability to Psychic Scream and Shadowreaper Anduin all but ensures this in a sizeable number of match-ups. As such, being able to comfortably play Medivh, the Guardian on curve and get value out of him alongside the big AOEs will result in tempo swings sooner than Dragoncaller Alanna.
Of course, you could run them both - they both synergize well enough with what your deck is doing. But I expect that if your options in the late game are to spend a whole turn playing a big board of dragons, or just burn out your opponent with Pyroblast, etc., you're going to prefer the quick kill that can't be countered by board clears.
*If her 5/5 dragons had taunt, she might be far more useful on curve. Much in the same way that N'Zoth, the Corruptor and Bloodreaver Gul'dan can leave you dead if you don't get enough taunts back, Dragoncaller Alanna leaves you too vulnerable to played on curve unless your opponent has a weak board, and that's more likely to happen much later in the game.
First things first...DRAGONS! Second...Why Dragons, did blizzard give up the Elemental Mage thing? No. Here is why. Some of you might now Kripparrian, Streamer, Youtuber,... he said that Blizzard allways plans two Expansoin ahead. I think we can agree to that now. And now try to remember what happend when you first logged in after the Un'Goro Launch, you saw some kind of Clock that switched from a Kraken Icon to Mammoth Icon symbolize the change of the Hearthstone Year. That is called The Hearthstone Zodiac. And now guess what comes after the Mammoth Icon...........that's right a Dragon Icon. So the next Year will probably called: The Year of the Dragon. Which will start with a Expansoin focused on Dragons. We get Kobolds and Catacombs this Month and Dungeons and Dragons next Year ;) .
Let me know what yout think of this
I think it's so Dragonfire Potion can't clear it

But I think different now, After all of these dragon themes I think they will not add Dragons again with newer expansion. They might support WoW about its new expansion, Battle for Azeroth which is simply like their first warcraft game; Warcraft: Orcs and Humans.
Newer expansion might be Allience vs Horde and it might be like MSoG which adds tri-class cards.
Nanohx, you're a genius, I wish I could see into the matrix like you.
Another Evolve, Devolve soft-nerf, but still a pretty decent card. If you only hit 2 spells from it, that's 9/13/13 worth of stats, which is pretty good.
Looks like a yugioh ritual card
Wait a mage card that does what it says without any random effect? What year is this? 2014?
"Hey, Anduin, try to deal with my dragon army of 5 5/5 dragons now.
No Dragonfire Potion can save you."
"Heh, greetings! The light has betrayed me! Uncanny!"
PSYCHIC SCREAM REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
