Reread his comment and mine. He said no one would play it, why would anyone do that and my answer was because they also played Tar Creeper. I did not say it was any good or powerful. I am just saying, people will try this out as an anti aggro tool.
This card is obviously much less powerful, but it is not a 1/10 on a power scale. It also has taunt synergy which might be tried out as well. Druid seems to gain some armor tools, as well. Overall it is a weak card on itsself but has some synergy.
Pure pack filler. 1 star.
Literally Senjin Shieldmasta with +1 health and a serious drawback, I dont see any reason to play this garbage over the existing taunts.
If they wanted to nerf druid they should have just done it instead of filling them with garbage for this expansion in the hopes that things will change (which at this pace won´t happen)
Uhm.. No. Gonna dust a couple of them I guess. Even in a shield taunt druid all other taunts sound more interesting.
Arena card
Rogue nerf.
So, for the low low cost of a massive drawback, you get a whole 1 HP bonus on Sen'jin Shieldmasta*? Wow that's bad...maybe if Grizzled Guardian was playable Ironwood Golem would be better, but even then you'd probably still be better off with Sen'jin. Admittedly, it's not hard for Druid to gain 3 armor, and its attack condition pseudo-synergizes with upgrading the Lesser Jasper Spellstone, but I have a hard time believing this could make any kind of slow, taunt Druid a thing. Maybe next set.
*I prefer Sen'jin as a comparison point over Shellshifter because while it's objectively better in most cases, the recruit mechanic would pull a 3/3 without taunt if it hit Shellshifter.
maybe they forgot that
exists
Shellshifter is better because its also a beast ^^.
Or worse, given if he gets recruited he is just a 3\3
Why do you think that its neccesary to attack with it right on turn after you play it? Its not aggresive minion and drood decks are not the one that, in slow and control versions, need to beat down opp to some point to kill them. + you forget one very important thing - vs slower decks you armor up or play wild growth on early turns. If you wild growth - ok, you can play something else and have this as late game card. If you armor up then GZ, you have perfect offense and defense card in one!. This card is perfect for slower/big druid decks and WILL be played, especially after cancer retarded jade mechanic rotates out.
Sry for my eng, im not native speaker and im kinda drunk :)
we gotta watch out for all those jede droods on the laddor guise. They can be dangerous with all their big gren men.
Tar Creeper is one less mana for one less Health though, I think this won't see play.
Jade golem is better.
I actually think this is a lot better than everyone is giving it credit. This minions job is to defend, which it does quite well. Twilight Guardian was very good, and this card is better against silence. Fact is, normally if you can survive long enough as Druid you will eventually win with your bigger threats. I would say most of the time your opponent will trade 2 or 3 guys into this the turn after you play it so it wouldn't have had an opportunity to attack anyway.
Late game, after DK, it's just fine as a top deck. Not the greatest, but it'll always be able to attack and it defends nicely.
This is a good design. Righteous Protector and Druid of the Swarm looked like antiaggro tools at first sight, but they are great in aggro decks. ironbark golem is how should antiaggro cards looks like!
Likely was designed as a 3/7 or something of the like and got nerfed during play testing.
i mean, it’s not bad that Druid got a bad card, right? I don’t think gDruid needs a lot of help right now.
Dude, why would you put this to your deck just so you can use it to thin your deck so that you can get something good to play.
2 terrible cards back to back. Why play this over stegodon or tazdingo? They have like 1 stat difference without the restriction. What a joke
Can attack only after you play DK or UI
