Took the words right out of my mouth
Just so you know, you don't get the transform effect if you Potion of Madness. It's a Battlecry.
The only question is - what's the Elemental mana cost?
If 6 - then it's ok.
ty blizzard for 100 lost games because both of my chain gangs evolved into this
yeah, well i guess it's pretty neat. i shall recombobulatevolve you! :D
So we can finally evolve a 1 mana 1/1 into a 7 mana 1/1 without gaining any attack, health or effect on the way.
You mean a 0 mana 1/1. :P
Blubber Baron, Wicked Skeleton, Furbolg Mossbinder, Big-Time Racketeer, Lynessa Sunsorrow.
Evolve is such a fun card. I'm so glad it's in the game to force Blizzard to literally water down every single mana cost just to keep it balanced.
Lowering stats, and creating stronger, more interesting effects is good for the whole game. That's how you slow down the meta. Evolve doesn't necessarily have much to do with it. But it's a very good way to keep it in check, too, whether they planned it that way or not. Evolve is fun, but we all know how easily it can end matches on turn 5 or 6, when you get lucky. The chance of that happening needs to stay on the lower side.
Wicked Skeleton and Big-Time Racketeer are not examples of "lowering stats" or "creating stronger, more interesting effects". Big-Time Racketeer is a 7/7 across two bodies, that also happens to occasionally ruin your Evolve or Moonglade Portal. Wicked Skeleton, if played optimally, is a 4 mana 5/5 in the most reasonable scenario. That's not lowered stats, the effect is JUST stats, same as Big-Time Racketeer. They are just stats that are carefully organized into the Battlecry so that you get screwed if you summon it instead of playing it.
I eagerly await the day someone evolves a 2-Cost minion with Unstable Evolution and gets all 5 of these in a row.
Firelands portal: Doppels, Bomb squad and new omega card!
arena
more like a 6/6 for 5 mana. if you played this on a 1/1, then you'd be bumping it's stats by +5/+5 plus this guy's 1/1 body is a 5 mana 6/6 over 2 bodies, but only if used on a 1/1. So maybe in paladin?
No it's not a 7/7, it's at highest a +6/+6 buff on a minion (silver hand recruit eg.) It's like gigantosaur, it's not a +10/+10 buff, it's apply on a minion that has at least a 1-1 stat
