It's because net decks hate cards with huge risk/reward potential. Because it's better to summon a 7 mana 7/7 everytime, rather than 7 mana 14/14 with windfurry one time and 7 mana 1/1 silenced the other time.
But I lovr this card, mix it with Galvadon and you have a fun deck
Yeah, exactly, people evaluate cards as if they started playing the game yesterday. To be on point, one blessing of kings is not enough for this card to be good, I think you need exactly at least a steed on her to be decent which is not that hard to do in a game. The only issue is that buffs are played in a tempo paladin deck (like murloc paladin) and it's a great risk to never draw your steed in a game meaning this will be a dead card in your hand. So I don't think we are gonna see Lynesse in the meta but more as a nice addition to the quest paladin deck
But this reasoning just makes this card better. Since if playing silence (or more than 1) is not in the meta, then this card becomes stronger. Your opponent might just have silenced away spikeridged the turn before you play this...
Nvm im retarded
Sap can only be cast on enemy minions. Shadowstep could be cast on this, though.
if you play it again after Shadowstepping it, wont the Shadowstep be cast again automatically ? what happens then ?? :D
infinite loop ?
The fact that there's silence and Poly/Hex in game makes this card just bad. Yes if we go with that logic Tirion would be bad but at least he is 6/6 when silenced. Anyway if you play this on curve it would be 3/7 with deathrattle at best and it's pretty meh in late game. 400 dust please
On the bright side, if your Lynesse gets silenced, your Steed would remain untouched.
Interesting … still bad but interesting. :-D
Why don't they print an already existing character? There are so many blood elf paladins that could make it into the game. Still she looks cool af :)
This card is insame, even with one Spikeridged Steed is already good.
no, it's not
7 mana 3/7 taunt, when dies put another 2/6 taunt? Yes, even that is very good.
no. It has +1+1 stat on regular Steed and lose charge ability since you cannot buff any other minion and all this for extra 1 mana cost.
Not good enough for constracted for sure.
That’s probably just a lower-than-average outcome. And still a 3rd spikeridged steed + minion bundled into a single card is pretty good. Add any other buff on top and this is insane.
Bran Bronzebeard + This legendary ( in late game ) = 23/49 stats + taunt minion
There may be too much silence in the meta right now to make this work, but I think people are being a bit too negative here. It only takes one Adaptation to gain stealth or spell targeting immunity, which goes a long way to protecting Lynessa Sunsorrow from silence or hard removal, and you may end up getting several chances at Adaptation depending on what you're running. The big problem with The Last Kaleidosaur is that it was too easy to silence or remove, but if your opponent needs to use their silence and/or removal against one, they may not have what they need to remove the threat from the other.
Another way to look at her is an opportunity to gain extra casts of useful buffs like Spikeridged Steed. Assuming she has to be removed with something like Shadow Word: Death, you could end up with two 2/6 taunts for 7 mana, which isn't radically dissimilar to a cast of Spreading Plague with Mark of the Lotus, packed into a single card*. Especially considering that we haven't seen all of the Paladin cards yet this expansion, there may be buffs coming soon that make Lynessa Sunsorrow worth it.
*Technically not a single card, since you had to run Spikeridged Steed, but that can be a very powerful card, and makes for yet another target to absorb silence and removal effects from your opponent prior to dropping Lynessa Sunsorrow.
