At first glance I thought the card said "Explosive Runs". It made the artwork look really disgusting.
I like how they bring excess damage to the game's mechanics
seems a bit too op compared to swipe
Okay, so, granted that I'm not seeing any official sources on this in the actual article, and everyone in the comments is confused, I'd like to offer my take on the divine shield issue. Namely, would you take 6 face damage if you played divine shield into this card?
Based on what I've seen, and what I know about divine shield, I'd argue that it will not do the face damage. I'm saying this on the assumption that what it will check to calculate face-damage is how far into the negatives the minion's health goes. As such, since the divine-shield minion took 0 damage, it will not be negative at all, and so the damage is entirely negated. I'd compare this to poisonous creatures; If a poisonous creature hits a divine-shield minion, it doesn't kill the minion, and it doesn't kill if its attack is reduced to 0. This is a different case, but I think similar logic should apply.
Yes this is probably true. The spell will only deal the the damage to face based on the number still left after the minion is dead, but since the divine shield takes the full blunt force and then dispersing it should leave no excessive damage left to face.
Yup yup. Divine Shield will absorb all, no damage taken to face.
That mechanic reminds me about yu-gi-oh which is great for me
I think I'm just going to quit hearthstone, this is getting to stupid.
Actually a really good thinking card, and it can beat quest mage. All in all, it's just a better Snipe. Speaking of, Hunter needs more good secrets.
Flamewanker powercreep. Sorta.
3 mana hip shooting fireball can't be too bad. 1 mana more for a better snipe? 🤔
So now we know it costs 1 mana to ADS
this goes through iceblock... wow
Why do you think it goes through Ice Block?
NVM, I was confused by your post's wording. Of course Ice Block doesn't pop on the players' own turn.
Snipe on steroids.
With bonus face damage.
Overall, a great Tempo secret.
This card is insane for reals so much tempo in one card
How it works? Deal some amount of damage or by 1, like Volcano.
Nah, it's all directed at the summoned minion. After that resolves it wil send excess damage to the face. I am hoping that means if it deals 0 with divine shield that it will then send the 6 damage to their face.
