Quote from DaxxarriJoin Hearthstone Mission Designer Dave Kosak as he reveals more about the development process that went into the creation of the new Dungeon Run single-player game mode coming in Kobolds & Catacombs.
What’s a Dungeon Run?
Dungeon Run is a new insanely fun, single-player “rogue-like” mode where you’ll face deadly encounters and collect incredible Treasures to build a deck worthy of a hero!
When your Dungeon Run starts, you’ll choose a Hero and receive a starting deck consisting of 10 cards. You’ll use it to overcome eight encounters of increasing difficulty (chosen randomly from a huge pool of 48 possible encounters!) to clear the run.
That initial deck might be enough to help you squeak by your first opponent, but you’ll need to get stronger if you hope to clear the whole run. Each time you defeat a Dungeon Run encounter, you’ll be given an opportunity to “level up” your Dungeon Run deck with themed sets of three cards appropriate to your class. Occasionally, you’ll also be able to pick from a selection of three incredibly powerful Treasure cards—non-collectible cards and abilities made just for this mode that are too blatantly overpowered to see normal play.
You’ll need all that power—as well as your wits—because these encounters can be fiendishly difficult. Victory is not assured, and each encounter has its own unique perils. If one of them gets the better of you, defeat is permanent, so you’ll have to start a different run with a whole new deck!
If you manage to complete a full Dungeon Run with each of the nine Classes—no mean feat!—you’ll add the Candle King card back to your collection.

Man Dave Kosak is very funny =D
Blizzard Entertainment: Printing reams of memes since 1991.
Not too keen on those stats. I'd rather a 6/6 then a 5/5.
i think it is funny card and i liked its story :D
Crazy interesting!
So if your opponent's hand is full you can sudo-punish your opponent. Question is, what kind of cards you run in your own deck when you use this. E.g if you play Mill or a Combo deck. Swapping decks would be a bad idea.
Note that it says decks and not hand. It could be disruptive however, I don't see a scenario where the opponent doesn't swap it back the turn after. Leaving you with a 5/5 for 8 that "steals/forces" your opponent to shave of 5 mana from their next turn.
You also give your opponent the top card from your own deck, since you wont draw your self/who plays it the same turn. Not without some kind of card draw. And what are the odds if you would draw a card the same turn that it's something you an use.
Personally, I think this card is the worst in the set so far. I could of course be wrong about that.
But a 5/5 for 8 that gives your opponent a card from your deck before they swap back (under normal circumstances) is just horrible. Unless your goal is to end up on something like Troldens YT I guess. Which would have been a fun name for the card instead -- King Trollden.
One of the most unique effects Hearthstone will have though, I'll give it that.
Is that your deck? I think I will TAKE IT!
I really really hope I don't open this, and if I do pls be golden so I can meme for like a week and then get an actual legendary.
In terms of absolute values, it is a 3 mana 5/5, that crucially can't be played before turn 8.
You also give the opponent a card from your deck.
Not sure it can make for some real sh1t but i doubt so...
EDIT: in Wild, fill your deck with card draw, mill yourself savagely, then fill your opponent's hand with Oracles and Mukla, then swap.
SCARY
Finally a counter to Rien, first disciple!
Kappa
I like your deck...
Do we need any more proof that this expansion is a memetastic clown fiesta?
Get ready for it! :D
There poorly statted 8 mana cost creatures make Evolve Shaman so much worse.
Get your oponents hand to 10 cards into explore un'goro into king towaggle into skulking geist into profit?
Not as bad as at first glance.
You can think of it like a 3 Mana 5/5, as your opponent is overloaded by 5 mana if they want their deck back. Against Big Druid, for example, they'll have to forgo a full 10-mana turn if they want it back.
Now, is this actually strong enough? Probably not, but it's really interesting, and again not as bad as it first seems!
Memes and Catacombs.
Turn 7 Mana Bind
Turn 8 King Togwaggle
Wait for your opponent to play that spell and then
Hemet + the 0-mana copy of that spell
I was so happy to see finally a card that does that. But then they had to add a spell that reverts it.. It'd so much more fun if they didn't.
