Loving the art of this one
I think revealing a spell is more useful information than a minion.
I think they still on the mindset of making the joust cards severely underpowered if you lose the joust though.
I really like the idea of the card, joust is back, as a mage card is has potential with meteor and the 7 mana spells. but if you play tenpo mage then youalso play glyph and secrets and frostbolt. also other classes play expensive spells like UI, so in general I like the card, but it will not make the cut in any mage deck because of inconsistency.
Joust is back bois!
Joust is simple and thrilling cool mechanics. I'm happy Joust is back.
thought they said they r NOT making anymore joust card. stupid blizzard
They told recently that they arent against adding more joust cards. You need to read recent news on HPW.
eh. probably will see some play, but not a huge amount. Elekk was good, but hunter cares a lot about board and even if the elekk wiffed you still had a decent tempo play. So while this may see play in burn mage, in anything else arcanologist is probably just way better, especially because of the antisynergy this has with glyph and secrets. Hunter for example only runs 3 cost spells, (kill command and sometimes unleash + deadly shot) and so this card will very rarely trigger against hunter. Unless burn mage wants to cut valet, arcanologist, and secrets, I dont think this even fits in there.
Take note that King's Elekk was played, and that is basically the hunter version of this card. This card seems decent, kind of let's you know what deck you and your opponent are playing. But against Big Priest and Big Druid, sux.
This card makes the the Alexstrasza, Pyroblast, Firelands Portal, Hemet, Jungle Hunter combo a bit more reliable
I'm willing to bet this card will always lose to druid.

Letting RNG decide whether you draw a card or not... Great, we really need more of that...
FUCKING JOUST IN 2017 HOLY FUCK
Joust cared about minions, and this cares about spells. Mage has the highest average spell cost in the game, and whereas mid-cost minions will show up in tempo and aggro decks as often as they will in control style decks, mid to high cost spells are in far fewer decks. It may not seem like a major difference, but it significantly impacts the playability of this card.
Same basic concept dude.
I say it nice to bring back an old mechanic, and compared to old joust cards..this is not terrible in comparison to some that were printed.
this is somewhat close to [card]King's Elekk [/card] level of power, but mage does have some really good late games cards likeBlizzard, Flamestrike, Pyroblast and Firelands Portal.
it might see some play, but as Arcanologist is soo much of a better 2 drop and always draws a secret, it might just get forgotten.
i see a little potential in this card, but have to see if mage gets any high cost spells in the set.
You know that Blizzard is running out of ideas when printing Joust! Fcking Joust!
Joust? Seriously? I thought that was a totally dead mechanic...
I wish they make more sheep combo cards.
