Youthful returns the minion to your hand, so you lose the body. Faceless manipulator can't copy battlecries.
Also... Kazakus, Prince Keleseth, Aya Blackpaw, Jade Spirit, Vilespine Slayer, Bonemare, Drakonid Operative...
Need I mention its potential with Brann Bronzebeard in wild?
The comparison to Youthful Brewmaster is pretty unfair, since Youthful Brewmaster is anti-tempo, whereas Zola the Gorgon lets you keep your minion in play and return it to your hand.
You're right that in some ways this does seem like a slower Faceless Manipulator, but this gives you back your battlecry, and thanks to being less expensive than Faceless Manipulator you may be able to play it simultaneously with your target (e.g. playing Zola with Prophet Velen can happen in a single turn). That's pretty important since minions with persistent effects like Prophet Velen will be targeted immediately by your opponent.
Zola the Gorgon isn't going to replace cards like Faceless Manipulator when you want to copy a charger or something like that, but that's largely because the applications are actually different.
Y'all forgeting about most important part, Youthful Brewmaster removes the body from the field, but what's more important, the Deathrattles do not trigger then, however with gorgonzola you can get your deathrattle back to your hand without loosing the deatrattle effect, just imagine playing it on Aya or Xaril. Basicly this card is better than Brewmaster and Facelesses ones 'cuz it's more flexible. It's not a big difference but it's better
Manic Soulcaster for all classes + in your hand not to deck. Not bouncing just copying.
Blizzard did not learn from its mistakes. They should not give class-based mechanics and auto-include cards for all decks.
Please more auto includes blizzard !
This card might be a must have in wild: Turn 6 Brann Bronzebeard into Zola the Gorgon: Brann on board, 2 more brann in hand.
Just play a Dragon Priest with Chromaggus, Bran, Zola the Gorgon and Archbishop Benedictus. Don't forget Elise the Traiblazer and Shadowvisions. See how many cards you can generate :)).
IMBA
I think than it's better if this card was a epic card and not a legendary card, because his effect is not so strong for a legendary
It effectively allows you to the option of having a third duplicate of any card in your deck.
Finally a Gorgon in Hearthstone! ;)
Well since it is a neutral card it could be very good in other classes than rogue
I see the potential here, but it just doesn’t seem worth it to craft. One of the best situation I see for this card is to copy reno into your hand while still leaving the decent body on the board. But in the end, the effect you’re playing this for can usually be achieved by brewmasters or faceless manipulator (for cheaper as well)
With brewmaster you're losing the body on board. Faceless Manipulator is just copying the stats, you can't cast the battlecry. Zola is just way better than those cards.
Very similar to Kabal Courier and Stitched Tracker, both of which are strong cards. Admittedly, Stitched Tracker doesn't see play, but that's the fault of Hunter as a class - it would be a bonkers card in many other classes, which is precisely why Zola the Gorgon is going to be so good.
Wait is Rogue Quest going to be viable again?
The rouge quest was good because you could complete the quest on turn 5. This card costs 3 and its a 2-2 so no.
Consider this: Horrible stats 2/2 for three mana.
But in even a hyper aggro meta, this card would still see use because it synergies with any Aura, battlecry or other combo like minions. This card will be very good in any meta.
Ehm, the card is not bad though, I would rather say it looks fine
EDIT: When I look more at this I realise that as a legendary, it might not be as good. But still, like what it does, and love the art so idc
That really isn't a good comparison.
