Quote from ESLTrinity Series is back! Season 2 of the Hearthstone® team league, featuring Blizzard Entertainment’s internationally acclaimed digital card game, and presented by ESL and Intel®, kicks off this September 27th and will once again feature seven weeks of online play followed by a playoff finals for the top four teams.
Eight teams will be invited to participate, each fielding a roster of three players. Teams will once again have open verbal communication with one another throughout their matches, allowing them to discuss and deliberate every in-game decision as a group, and giving viewers the chance to listen-in to the teams during each crucial decision.
The Trinity Series will once again award $150,000 USD in prize money, with $75,000 awarded to the first place team. In Season 1, it was the compLexity Gaming roster that took home the lion’s share of the prize pool with their first place finish, with Luminosity close behind.
Season 2 will continue the best-of-11 “Last Hero Standing” format, where players play with a particular deck until they lose a game with it. Teams will submit nine decks for each match (one from each class), and then ban two of the opposing team’s decks from play. The teams will then pilot six of their remaining seven classes for the duration of the match, until one team has earned six wins and is crowned the match victor.
“After the success and fun of Season 1 we can’t wait to get started on Season 2 of Trinity Series” said Doug "Gloudas" Wreden, Producer at ESL. “We feel the match format and team listen-ins offer something truly exciting to the Hearthstone community, and we hope to bring that two-fold with the second season."
The first two participating teams will be G2 Esports and compLexity Gaming, both returning for their second Trinity Series season! Further information on #TrinitySeries team invites and schedules will follow on our public channels in the coming days, so be sure to follow the ESL Hearthstone accounts on Twitter and Facebook.
Poor Cloud 9... First they lose Strifecro, now they don't even have enough players for Trinity... who's left? Kolento and Ekop?
give me links on translations plz
Go G2, Go!

Kolento and C9 missing :( but will pick & cheer anyway :)
I don't think C9 even has 3 players anymore.... they lost Strifecro
Surprised to see Liquid with a stand-in. They still have Neirea, Savjz, and ElkY on their roster in addition to Dog and Sjow, would have expected one of them to join in. Probably Neirea, as he has been most involved in competition lately.
I enjoyed the first season. The Trinity Series is one of the very few events I watched regularly. Looking forward to season two.
Reynoodle or Gaara would been better picks for TS than Trump or Eloise . But it's probably who's more popular to attract ppl.
I agree with Eloise but Trump is a veteran at this game and deserves the spot in the team in my opinion.
Eloise is a solid player with the results to prove it, don't be fooled by her Twitch chat style memes.
Performance-wise, I would have expected Gaara instead of Trump. Reynad is good as well, but perhaps too busy to commit to a league.
Busy is probably the reason. I remember last Trinity series Kolento was missing from the Cloud9 roster. When asked about it, he said he declined to participate because the rewards weren't worth time investment (It does require weekly participation, after all) and his teammates wanted to participate more
Do we get packs from choosing our team? If no, then I couldn't really care less.
Go! Team Liquid. Sjow better take off Dog's shirt when they win.
