Sneakily Grinding Your Opponent's Cards - Mill Rogue with StanCifka
StanCifka brings us some post-nerf glory today with his Mill Rogue deck. Let's take a look at it and push ourselves onto the ladder to cause chaos!
You can follow StanCifka on Twitch, Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook.
How it Works
This is a late-game, control style deck which has two different win conditions:
- Bring your opponent into fatigue, dealing great damage to them.
- Burning their key cards, preventing them from having win conditions of their own.
Let's take a look at how this all works.
- Valeera the Hollow is essential to the deck. Her Shadow Reflection will allow you to draw out extra cards through Coldlight Oracle spam.
- If your opponent has plenty of minions on the field, push them back into their hand to fill it up and burning the following cards they draw.
- Coldlight Oracle is assisted not only by Valeera but also Shadowstep and Youthful Brewmaster.
- Are you in fatigue yourself? Shadowblade will prevent any damage you take so go crazy!
- Mulligan for Coldlight Oracle unless you're fighting aggro. With aggro its a good call to keep cards like Backstab, Doomsayer, and Tar Creeper.
- Although Skulking Geist is a great Jade counter, it can also help whittle down your opponent's cards, bringing them to fatigue quicker.
- It is possible to deal 31 damage in a single turn if your opponent is out of cards.
- 24 Damage: With Valeera: Shadowblade, Coldlight Oracle (3), Copied Oracle (7), Shadowstepped Oracle (11), Face with Weapon (3).
- 7 Damage: Opponent draws at the start of their turn.

Basically Savjz's mill deck he was playing in legend a month ago, with a few obvious differences pre-nerfs. Plenty of examples of him playing this on YouTube, as well as tons of people.

How much is Stansifca paying this site to get highlighted constantly for ''creating'' decks that already exist...
its actually the other way round. they are paying him to present decks etc... its a sweet jobifyou ask me. make decks for the game play professionally! count me in. wpouldnt you take a sweetjoblike that too? why so bitter?
Sorry to hear that. I can assure you I am not in a "invest a ton of time and energy into making a written guide + edited video and THEN happily pay a ton of money to someone to even be so kind post it" business.
As for the deck already existing, yes you are right, it has always existed in some version or the other. I saw someone playing a core of this deck (let's say 15 cards) but with ton of weird cards, so I took it and tweaked it, tested different versions and after 20 hours or so came with the conclusion. The way Hearthstone works is that when you just tweak 4 cards and leave 26 cards the same as someone before you, your win percentage can easily go from 30 to 70 percent. Imagine what happens when you change 10-15 cards.
You might have also noticed that I didn't just post a decklist of 30 cards and called it a day. You might have played the deck right when it came out, but maybe you or other viewers were doing some minor mistakes with mulligan which drastically changes your win percentage as well, and I would like to share my knowledge in this regard as well.
If this doesn't clarify your statement Allixtrazsa, then I am sorry I wasted your time.

The question is why your decks are always highlighted and not someone else, especially when you didn't make the deck. Why is this not day9 mill rogue. Also, your literally the only person who's decks they post like this. Just some examples are:

All I did was scroll through the hearthpwn news articles and these are literally the only posts that feature a pro players deck in the title and they are all yours, and most of them aren't even original to you. Its actually insane the level of bias, and there has to be an explanation.
Preach brother!
But that's hearthpwn's problem not stancifka's... Personally, I loved when they promoted bloodoom and obsidian rage, but they should promote other decks also! There are plenty of nice ideas that works. For example, I love the hunter decks of sparkz and they always working, but you will never see a promotion.
Let's hope in the future we will see promising and interesting decks from other pro players too!
And Gang Up of course
I love Heartpwn. But I really wish they went with someone more likeable, as their deck creator. Please.
Oh well, at least I tried.
I like the deck. Obviously this decks Stancifka posts tend to not be as consistent as top meta decks. But thats because he tries to offer something different, and when you do that you will fail many times. But at least he tries to offer some different game play and allow us to try different stuff.
If you just want to play a top meta deck with lots of consistency, go to hsrelay.net and pick any in the top 3 when filtering by winratio. You dont need a post for that.
ehm ok then why the fuck there is any ?? :)))))))))) i just conceded to a jade druid lol
ty i didn't know i can :\ , i was just wondering why after that description he don't put him
The card has been in and out the deck quite a lot, might have been my editing mistake, sorry about that Trustrl. He is now in "possible changes" category, and if you are playing against lot of Jades (25 %+), then just slam him in ;)
Without Gang Up mill rogue will always feel crippled to me. Hence i play mill rogue in wild.
Also in wild you can enjoy Deathlord which is great at getting your opponent closer to fatigue.
Looking at the decklist presented here i dont see any interresting techchoices or anything else that stands out, its a very standard deck in every way.
I always loved Mill decks. I am glad they are coming back to meta.
Is there a room for King Mukla in this deck? I always thought this card is essential for any mill deck. It gives great tempo and fills hand to your opponent, so you can start milling sooner.
This deck is so fun, but if you don't draw Coldlight Oracle your hand will be unplayable and you slowly die
Yet, the ancient problem of Mill Rogue: lack of consistency when not drawing an Oracle.
When you do, then skill can shine as in the showcase, but if you don't, not only Aggro rapes you, but even more Midrange decks.
I so wish there was just one more card with dual draw...
I quite like shadow caster in this deck with oracles
